Re: Titanium Tudor Pelagos

LOLOLOL $6,850 ?????????? I paid less for a brand new Rolex Sea Dweller 4000 (about $100 less) but still.....

I would never pay that kind of money for a Tudor with a basic motor.

Re: Hey Paul.....and other G-fans....

I would bet a paycheck that over 95% of specops/divers/eod/ct/ranger/recon, etc... wear either Gshocks, Casios or Suuntos. Did a SPIE/STABO recert with a bunch of different teams recently lots of G-shocks and Suunto's and even a few Timex's. Did not see a none digital anywhere... What is a "SPIE/ST...

Yes well done and enjoy that father/son connection with the diving. I got my first SCUBA lessons from my own father at 10 years old with an old Nemrod double hose reg and purge mask!

Re: ChronoSport UDT

Yep these were very popular with service members years ago. I too wanted one, but didn't have the extra cash at the time. The logo always reminded me of the Nautica logo later on after I was exposed to that brand.

Love it man, wear it in health.

I wore a Seiko, they seemed pretty prevalent at the time. Later on the Chronosports became popular.

Re: What are your thoughts on this diver?

Concord has made some very nice dress watches I have always considered worthwhile if I won a lottery or whatever. I haven't ever seen any dive watches from them though. I know Concord has used some high end movements in some of their watches (Zenith for instance), and the overall feel I get from the...

Re: IWC Galapagos.... anyone here have / had one?

Hey I'm just stating what has been TRADITIONALLY ACCEPTED for what? 20+ years.... To be fair though, I did have a 100m Casio I used to wear for shallow scuba diving when I was a teenager.

Regardless, the Galapagos is a really cool looking watch in person.

120 meters? Usually 100 meter watches have been rated for snorkelling and 200 meter and deeper rated watches for regular diving.

Re: Suggestions needed for a good collection of divers

Ditch the Ball, Breitling, Sinn, and Oris....

Keep the rest and add a new Omega Ploprof, Rolex 1680 Submariner, Tudor Submariner, Muhle Rasmus, and Baume & Mercier Capeland S XXL and you would be golden

Price was $6900 at the IWC dealer, we saw one today I was pretty impressed with the overall looks and finish of the watch. Not a true dive watch, but still looks nice.

For? I don't think you should confuse kindness for weakness on my part. I'm a rough and tumble type of guy I just try to get along on the forum because this is a place everyone wants to be. As far as diving goes, I have done my time in the gulf of mexico, spent thousands of hours as a Tender draggin...

Re: watch for my son

Well if that's true then all of them are liars because they all claimed the Navy was giving them Rolex watches, and if they 'lost' one they went and got issued another - according to them. I am not a Navy Diver I am a former gulf of mexico Commercial Diver. I know about 8-10 former Navy Divers, some...

They don't have either of the new Tudors in stock I got hold of them yesterday. They have an order in with Basel, but it isn't even going to show til later this year! Ridiculous... I think if they release a watch for 2012, it should be available immediately.
