Re: MFK

SD4K is the keeper for sure. If you don’t have to- don’t sell it! It will jump in value even more. Hulk... < Kermit. I’d do horrible things for a Kermit. I don’t like the all green dial and bezel at all. AP. If you’re already thinking about it, just do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I have ...

Re: MFK

I think logic says I have to sell the Hulk while it's hot...problem is, once I do, there's a good chance I don't get another one. Our favorite "trusted" seller just listed a new BLNR at $24k. If that is the trend (where normal people have no ability anymore to buy from an AD and instead are just sc...

Re: Site not using SSL

It's something that's been on my to-do list for a while, just haven't got to it yet. FWIW, intercepting the username/password isn't something that is done 'easily'. One would need to orchestrate a man-in-the-middle-attack or be able to snoop the traffic on/leaving your local network. I don't think ...

Site not using SSL

I guess I’ve never really noticed much because I’m usually on my phone, but it just dawned on me that this site isn’t set up to use SSL. That means anytime we log in, our username/password could easily be intercepted.

Might want to look into it.

LVMH donating 200 million Euro to Notre Dame

I suppose someone will find some way to turn this into something negative, but seems like quite a gesture to me.

Re: Well this didn’t take long

This guy will list a watch, then mark it “sold” when the prices go up and immediately relist $2k-$3k higher. I’ve seen him do it with literally the same watch multiple times.

Re: Well this didn’t take long

Someone made a good point this morning that if Rolex really felt this was going to be a sustainable price point they’d be moving their prices up accordingly, making even more money and still selling out. I think that has at least some validity. If you could buy as many as you wanted but they were $1...

Re: Well this didn’t take long

"I have another one now so I have no use for this one". WTF. Scalper/speculator. The thing is, for private sellers, I don’t care. What bothers me are the big forum dealers who have these things they hoard from ADs (which in turn artificially decreases the supply) and then they trickle them out at a...

Re: Well this didn’t take long

They soft-discontinued all GMTs other than the BLNR and BLRO post-Basel, so now the forum dealers, scalpers, greys and accidental speculators are going full-bore to rape and pillage. The same reason some dealers hoard old 5-digit GMTs and try to charge $25k for them.

Re: TAG Heuer Autavia Isograph

$3500? Ambitious. Have you seen what watch companies are charging lately? $3500 is basically nothing. Not to mention greys will have These for $2800. I’m getting at least the blue, maybe the brown. I love them. Fuck Rolex and their motherfucking “sorrry you can’t buy one of our hand-made mass-produ...

I know it's a pilot-theme but no screw down crown still bothers me
One of my favorite watches was my Fortis B-42 without the screw down crown. I took it on several vacations and swam with it without any issues.

Wow. I couldn’t disagree more with everyone here. I think these stole Basel. I’d get at least a couple of them.

I guess my tastes really run 180 degrees from most folks around here.

And by axing the black GMT all the trusted forum stealers are living their wildest wet dreams today. Expect them to all “miraculously” reappear in a week at $20k a pop.
