Water marks on wall

Looking for some help. Just painted the bathroom and after a couple of showers- condensation marks down the wall. Not sure what to do, thoughts?

The wall was painted Wed and we didn’t shower until Sunday.. There is a bathroom fan.

We’re you previously using this bathroom in the same configuration and you just updated paint? Was the previous surface more porous..... perhaps the new paint is forming a vapor barrier allowing condensation where the previous surface absorbed the moisture? Did you use Gloss or Semi gloss - it helps in a bathroom.

Also most paints take like 3 weeks to fully cure, so high humidity after a couple of days could leave marks depending on the paint.

make sure you use a semi gloss or high gloss.

The obvious answer.....stop showering.

Whatever you do, never touch those decorative soaps, those are for company.

Used benjamin moore winterborne- high end paint,
Just wiped down walls- streaks gone., so weird..
We have a new ceiling fan, too..

Thanks.Ceramic tile surrounds the tub but the tub and shower are separate.

We have a similar layout. We used some subway time from the top of the shower enclosure to the ceiling, but added a small glass tile border that ran above the tub tile, and through the subway tile to tie I think together.

Just use the hose out in the yard for about a week or two. Paint will cure and neighbors will love it (or call the cops).

Painted my bathroom six years ago with Behr latex primer. No water marks, but it does nothing for the bathtub ring.

At this point may be the bathroom fan- brand new, quiet but not really enough power. Time to call electrician.

I need to paint my upstairs bathroom. The paint on the ceiling above the shower is starting to blister. Should I use the special bathroom primer and paint?

defintely. and do not buy that paint with primer in it, that stuff is a waste of money/time.
