Yes, i believe so.
I dig the case but I've always found glossy black bracelets to look cheap.

Having a PVD/DLC bracelet is a recipe for disaster, you cannot not scratch it.

Looks really nice Trevor ! I wonder if Rolex would ever consider doing
this at some point. That way you know you would be getting great quality.
Plus Rolex would probably come up with a nice scratch resistant, more
matte-like finish for the watches too like the guys are talking about.
Still looks cool in any case sir. Thanks a lot !

I actually like this one. It's probably just the photo but it makes the blue/black contrast easily visible (which is the actual point of a two tone bezel). This is lacking in the stock watch.

My Sinn bracelet looks new. Tegimenting definitely works.

While I love the new black & blue GMT, I'm not a fan of the black treatment

The key to pvd is to first bead blast the case, which then yields a nice matte black finish. Its not for everyone, but there does seem to be a market niche there.

Doesn't the slightly peaked nature of a bead blasted finish lead to tiny pin prick scratches in the PVD? I guess you could be careful about the media you use, but I suspect any of them would do it to some extent. Cerakote on the other hand always looks awesome.

Now that you said that you can definitely see the difference between the polished center links and the rest. It does look kind of goofy that way...

HTFU.
So what if your DLC'd watch or bracelet gets some abrasions? If you're going to keep the watch and use it as intended, nothing wrong with building up some wabi.
If you're going to flip it in 5min then yeah, you need to treat it with kid gloves.

I agree with others. Rolex watches are "lifetime" watches. This finish is not. What will this look like after 10 years of wear? How would you repair it?
