These don't seem to be seen very often around these parts. They were originally launched with colourful NATOs & rubber.. but I've just discovered that there is now the option of a bracelet.
This PVD version is really pushing the right buttons for me.. very, very tempted..

The funny thing is you can still get a vintage issued one cheaper than the new remakes. Think I paid 900 for the vintage issued one I use to own plus it had the cool issued history. Plus the vintage ones got better hands don't care for the pointy version.

That would look great on rubber or a NATO.

I agree, that's what has stopped me buying the newer model

Why are the hands almost exactly the same length?

They aren't. Hour hand is nowhere near the hour plots, whereas the minute hand is 1/2 way over the hour plots.
Maybe time for an opticians visit

I was on my phone, so maybe they looked smaller. They both look too short to me, even now that I have a larger screen.

I'd say that the min hand should be longer - well, I'd prefer it longer, but many dive watches have the same kinda set-up, but you're right, the design if the hands do make them look almost the same length.
If I'm honest, the min hand on this model was a bad design

Told you the hands look like crap on the new remake. I really don't know why they ruined it with those hands and did not use the same type as the original

I much prefer the original Mercedes hands as well. Otherwise it seems an interesting watch.

So so cool Stewart !

Love the whole look of these, and how that area
of the case around the crown juts out like that. Could definitely see this on
your wrist sir ! ..Really appreciate the look. Thank you very much !
