IMO it's not good customer service leaving people in the dark especially when they put a deposit down. not providing an email address on your website is another faux pas.

Email him and he puts you in line.
does anyone know Jake's/Dagaz's email address?

i sent an email to it tiityphoon.dagazwatch@gmail.com last night and haven't gotten a reply back. pretty bummed that Dagaz hasn't contacted me at since since i paypaled the funds for the pre-order and this was back in last october. no word on what my build status, much less what my custom options are.

I will PM you Jake's address. He is contacting people as he nears their slot in the pre-order to ask if they want the currently available version on strap or wait for the bracelet version with the Sumo movement. He then contacts for the dial, bezel, crown and hand set choices when the slot comes up.
He most definitely has an email address on his site. It's practically everywhere.

I'm by no means a Jake fanboy, we've had our scuffles over the years, but the information simply isn't correct.

you wanna check the site and point out where it is because it isn't obvious and far from 'practically everywhere'. i spent a good amount of time prior to my post in this thread clicking on everything on his site - web store, links, and didn't see it. i just checked the site again now to see if anything changed and nada. http://www.10watches.com/

moreover the fact that two people were kind enough to PM me the address (thanks again to those two gents) while their opting not to post it publicly in the thread here and on the one at WUS is a 'indicator' in and of itself, of sorts. not sure why it's such a 'secret' but whatever.

i didn't get a chance to email him over the weekend, but will get around to it by the end of the week. i think this is the last time i do these preorders anyway. only one or two of the micros bother to communicate on a timely basis on these things.

well, i feel a little silly at how easy that was. the only thing i can say in my defense is that when i visited his site (1280x1024 resolution on my desktop, 768x1024 from my ipad) the only visible portion of the homepage on the initial screen are the links on the left and a partial photo of the watch - you don't see the text underneath the pic which states the email unless you scroll or page down.

i guess i'm too used to websites with a proper 'Contact Us' or FAQ link with their contact info. on my previous visits, i even tried putting something in the shopping cart in his webstore to see if it would give me their email address.

So visit it on a computer next time before getting your panties in a twist about his lack of communication. Not trying to be a dick, and as I said, I'm most definitely not a fan of Jake, but disinformation gets me going in a bad way.

Edit: Wait a minute, you did use a computer? You just didn't bother scrolling down to look at the entire page? Seriously?

i still stand by the lack of communication charge. i've not received any email since the deposit confirmation payment (which was over a year ago) and he's not updated his blog since July and that update was only to show some prototype details - no mention of any timetable on when they would start.

as i mentioned earlier, does it really take that much time to post one or two lines on his blog saying that they'll be contacting the pre-order customers to the coming weeks/months to confirm their build option.

you can disagree all you want, but ask any John Doe on the street and I think they would agree that he earns at best, a 'D' in the communication department.

ps. i would have been perfectly fine with a email back in july just saying that they're still working on the watch options and not able to provide an estimate on a delivery timetable.

So, perhaps, maybe, possibly, check it again before getting your panties in a twist and getting all angry?

You already admitted to missing one major tidbit on the site because you didn't use your eyes and brain. Now you've done it again.

Anything else I can do for you?

Edit: Just an FYI, you complained about the blog today, the 16th.

I bet when these run out the used cost will be a little higher.

Great Looking combo Dave.

Does anyone know, by chance, if the case take regular Seiko dials? I mean with movement is in the case at a angle similar to regular Seiko with crown at 4?

I didn't see any humbling. All I saw was a dude not man enough to admit he was wrong, dig in even harder by complaining about yet another imagined issue, and use the excuse that he hadn't done the proper research to justify it.

Again, I have no issue with somebody not liking Jake or his product. That's Jake's problem. Misinformation pisses me off.

i'm not sure why you're acting like a self-righteous prick, but let's set the record straight since you're talking out of your ass in some respects.

if you look back at my initial post in this thread, i checked jake's site prior to 10/16 so at that time his blog was *not* updated. yeah, i completely missed the fact that he posted his email on the homepage and i didn't scroll down to take a look. i admitted it.

when i posted the reply to your post about "where on his site was his email address" i went back to his website and looked specifically for whether i could find the email address. i never said that i looked at his blog again - there really was no point to since i already had his email address and the posters on the thread said that he'd probably be contacting me once my number came up.

end of story.

if you got anything more to say to me about me, then send me a PM because this will be my final post about this topic since i've tried to be civil to you and it failed.

i don't know who the fuck you are and why you decided to jump on me. i guess you're one of those unforgiving assholes people have to misfortune to run into, from time to time.

the misinformation that i'm guilty of was saying that his email address was not easy to find. the rest of the bullshit you're talking about is just that, bullshit.

ps. if anyone's wearing any panties here, i'd say it was you since you're the one who's blown everything totally out of proportion. if i didn't know any better i'd say your head was deep in Jake's ass but i think that would be an insult to Jake and there's no reason for me to be insulting to him.
