Todd you ever think of trying to get Carl to make some straps for your watches http://www.gasgasbones.com/ ? Just another idea, but honestly your watch is so nice I wouldn't care what it came on.

Actually i have! I thought about it, read a bit, thought some more, and while i like the straps he makes for Bremont, i see many complaints that watch X ships on a nylon strap.
The CD-2 would look great on one of those Bremont straps, but at this stage i am trying a appease the majority.
The LE is sorted, that will ship on the Metta Leather. I will be adding a rubber into the box, not as part of the package, but just because i want to. So that is fine.

The issue is what the standard watch ships on.
There will be a leather option, handmade by the same maker as the Metta straps, or rubber.
It will not ship with both. The leather option with buckle is actually costly, as would be the Swiss rubber (arrives any day) with buckle.
I cant find a Swiss made off the shelf deployment clasp, and refuse to get one from somewhere else.

The Italian rubber i am looking at, would have a Swiss buckle, and the rubber is great, but the price to buy with the cheap buckle is quite cheap and everyone knows it. Does not mean its bad, just good value actually. Add the Swiss buckle, then it changes, but people still focus on the fact the strap can be had for 30 bucks.
There is the Isofrane option, which is also nice and i am considering offering that as an option. Not sure though.
Waiting now for the Swiss rubber, then i will act.
Soprod are delayed by 4 weeks extra, so wont see the movements until June, which still leaves time to sort out the last little details.
Could not decide the strap until i had the prototype. Cant decide the buckle until i decide the strap.

Todd, does that mean that the non-LE versions of the CD-2 will be shipping June/July? I was originally going for the CD-1, but the more I see of the CD-2 the more I'm groovin' on it.

Good to hear you like it, actually my signature's are there to make people laugh. So if you got a laugh out of it then I did my job for the day. :neener:

On another note I am glad you have thought everything out so well on your watches and checked all avenues before making decisions :salute: . This is super comforting than how most products are brought out to the public with half ass designs.

Thanks again for your hard work Todd!!!
