Dive Watch Unique Design

Post by kempoman » Fri Jun 17, 2011 9:27 pm

I am here presenting a thread for dive watches with unique design for water resistant. So, the thread is more gear towards a highlight not a review. Those watches i present here,
Image
Image
First comparison - GP Seahawk Pro II 3000M vs UTS 3000M
As you can see GP has 2 HRV whereas UTS has none for both are water resistant to 3000M.
Image
Firs HRV
Image
2nd HRV
Image
UTS unique feature for her back case is securely screwed.
Image

Then, Seiko Tuna 600M vs Anonimo Professionale 2000M
This is an interesting comparison. Seiko Tuna has a monocoque case whereas Anonimo has a hinged case. Anonimo has a HRV and Seiko none.

Image
The one and only industrial hinge design collaboration with Italian CNS commercial diver.
Image
Image
Finally, a Vulcain Nautical Cricket Alarm 300M vs Eterna Concept 1000M
Image
For 16 holes at the back case for 300M water resistant - i must say is brilliant. What i understand Vulcain uses membrane to make it works.
Eterna Concept 1000M is one of my pride and joy too. Her design was taken over by Porche design lately and i wonder she still appears in Eterna product catalogue. Recently, I am lucky enough to handle a piece of Porche Design titanium 6780 Diver but i prefer the weight of SS Eterna. FYI, Eterna spent 5 years or so to R&D her water proofing external rotating bezel.

Hope you enjoy.

Great post, Philip!
I didn't know you have that Nimo, very nice!
I think that's 2 yellow Nimos on DWC.

Thanks guys for all the good words. I do not know the answer for 2 HRV. But, i guess Jay answer making sense. But, she is a nice looking titanium watch though. The curve ended lug makes it easy to wear on a 6.5 inches wrist.

Jay, i just got Anonimo for my 10th year anniversary as a Father (an excuse to own, perhaps). Now she is on my wrist more than 5 days now. Some more pics here,

Well done, Kempoman!! Those divers are too sweet. Dig that GP big.

My Eterna KonTiki Sport has an internal bezel that turns externally like a normal dive bezel. No clicks, smooth turn, water tight to 200 m....somehow???

Great post Kempoman!

Some cool divers and very unique cases. :fro:

I've learned some cool new features of some I've never realized before.

So, out of this cool bunch, which do you wear most often? just curious.
Or much harder question, whats your fave there? hehe.

Tom, i have certain believe that Kontiki Sport extenal bezel has the shared the unique DNA of CONCEPT. That K Sport is a good investment.

Sharkfin (Dave)- that is a tough question. i guess is hard for me to trim down to one watch. I am still on my enlighten path and may be one day, one fine day i will find the answer. Currently, i am still hanging on with ANONIMO. Again, she is a beautiful watch.

Great post and pics...and phillip - your collection keeps growing in amazing ways.

On the anonimo - it does have an HRV - at the 2pm position. I have had way to many of these professionales...but still my favorite anonimo design and watch.

Yes, that 's correct. Totally overlook (must be the lime that got into my eyes). Thanks for pointing that out. :salute:

Hi Lex, my friend - glad you drop by. Haven't seen you around for a while. Wish you visit us more often.

Dnslater, just unscrew and pull out the crown for adjusting date & minute/hour hand. The massive crown is for commercial divers with gloves. One of its kind in her category.
