Father's Day Trinket-Baume & Mercier Capeland S XXL Diver!!

Post by 1watchaholic » Mon Jun 20, 2011 10:51 pm

Over Father's Day weekend I brought home a new member to my watch family...a Baume & Mercier Capeland S XXL!! :thatshot: I went to my hot spot aka jewlery store in OC to drool over some Rolex's. When sitting in the display case was the Capeland. I went into negotiation mode and we came to a win/win agreement...I think?? I was so excited I probably did not do my best negotiation. This Yellow beauty is a definite keeper! It's very comfortable on the sail cloth strap...chunky yet light being Titanium. Now every Father's Day will bring a two smiles to my face, one for my children and the other in remembrance of the finding of the elusive B & M Capeland S XXL! :fro:

Titanium Case
Swiss ETA 2892-A2
WR 1000M
44.5 mm/17.5mm Thick
Full Kit Rubber Strap/Tool/Sail Cloth Strap

Very nice, it took me over a year to talk the previous owner of mine into giving it up. Is that NIB or just a very nice condition used model?

Huge congrats on that one!! They are getting harder to find and only going up in price, looks like that one is in mint condition

I had one (twice  ) and it really is an awesome watch, super comfortable on the sail cloth strap and amazing lume. Never wore it on the OEM rubber strap, kind of a weird setup. Also the dial is actually Kevlar and not carbon fiber, not sure what the difference is but it was mentioned to me when I posted mine awhile back.

LNIB!! All boxes, blank card, stickers on box, etc. If there was one to buy...this was it!

Sweet catch! I picked one up last month and was amazed what a piece of work it is. A lot of thought went into the design of this watch. And I even figured out how to set up the rubber strap. Was talking to an retired Navy diver and he said that the strap was very similar in design to what was issued to them.

When I get board with the sail cloth, I'll be sure to check in to see how to put this baby on! It's the most intimidating rubber strap I've seen!

Yeah, I read the same thing. You have to see the face with the naked eye to see it is not overlapping like most CF's I've seen. It kind of has a hologram effect of a CF. Whatever it is, in scientific vernacular...its freak'n cool!!

The first time I saw one in person was when I purchased this one. Don't wait for that if you get the chance to grab one. Grab it and if it doesn't ring your bell it will sell fast!

That is good advice. This is one watch that will sell very quickly on the forums.
