Zenton Bronze

Post by W. C. Bartlett » Tue Jun 21, 2011 4:07 pm

Even since I saw Vic's Helson bronze, I have had this thirst for one. However, the more I looked at the Helson and the Zenton, I am attracted to the more conservatively designed Zenton.

Nice one Bill. What is the size of that one?

I loved the look of the bronze on Vic's at Banters grand opening. I agree the Zenton has nice classic shape and look to it.

Hmm.... Wasn't there a thread on this one when Lex announced it?

Oh never mind

I love this watch the basic starkness of it. The only change I would make is to order the version with the all white hands (no black surrounds) and top grade 2824. Stay tuned :-) Like this one:

I'm starting to really get tired of diagonal date windows... I'm not sure why. I went through a phase of dislike, then I liked it, and now I'm really not digging it.

Otherwise, I'm digging this one. Cool, simple watch. The very basic design of the case and dial allows you to focus on enjoying the case material, I think.

Nice pickup, Bill.

It would have looked much nicer without a date window.

I got the watch from a guy in Sweeden for under a $1,000.

I like the simplicity of thee watch and I dislike the fact that the buckle is SS, looking for a bronze buckle.

I have several Anonimo's and they are notorious for loss in value so I gave up on them, the San Marco was my last one.

This bronze case craze reminds me of my old Bathys I had a while ago. Agreed about no date window or at least if you're going to have it, step it up a bit.

Definitely agree, Anonimo's can only be bought these days at a deep discount, otherwise you lose your shirt.......All things being equal, the Anonimo bronze case is still my favorite.

What do you think that Zenton is going to fetch after 6 months???

It retails for 1,222. I got it for $940. How can I lose and they only made 20.

Anonimo go for a premium price and rightfully so, they are very cool watches, just got tired of being hammered on resale and they make many more.

Cool bronze.

I like it, only 20, cool.

Any wrist shots? That 52mm is a stretch for me.

Reminds me of a Sinn. If only the date were at 6 o'clock.

This is a new watch from G&W. The last watch they designed came out in 2005 and it was all SS.
