I think that watch is BADAZZZ

I like everything about it, except the whole 'SEALs' thing, but that's just a personal issue. The hand does not look too short to me - I don't know much, though. I only rent watches and usually only on a short term basis

Now that you mentioned it... ya kinda short.

It does bother some, but not me.
Some prefer their seconds hand to extend all the way to hit the minute marks.
Also, you can see the seconds hand hits the inner markers, so its not such a pain IMO.

Don't fret, enjoy that beast. :fro:

Yep, too short. I'll help you out of it - just send it to me.

Actually I never noticed it. Don't think it would bother me frankly. But a short minute hand? yeah, that'd bug the shit outta me.

Perhaps for some, but certainly not for me. JLC doesn't do things arbitrarily; they've been at this game for too long. If you take a good look at the dial, you'll see that the lume pip on the second hand corresponds to the outer rim of the alarm disc. This isn't by accident. Sure, they still could've stretched the hand past the pip, but had they done so, the proportions would be way off.

Is this an example of form over function? Maybe, but in the end, since there's no problem reading off seconds, I'm good.

Adam

I don't really notice the seconds hand but the hour hand looks unfinished kind of. maybe if it had a arrow tip like the minute hand. but any watch for this price that has rubber covers on the buttons is a no go IMO. that shit will be worn out in a few years.

the Seal thing would suck if it was on the dial but since it isn't then it isn't in your face like that high speed watch by Smitty.

I'm with you, Drew. I'm of the traditional style where the second-hand should be longer than the minute-hand which should be longer than the hour hand.

In this case, if it truly was a design decision similar to what Adam has suggested, they could have left the lume pip where it was but extended the tip of the seconds hand to reach the edge of the dial.

Too short, no.

Could be longer, yes.

Then you must really hate the Royal Oak Offshore... :stir:

Seriously, though, I don't know what type of rubber they're using, but the crowns on my Incursion still look new after over a year of hard use (pool, ocean, showers, bath time for the kids, sun, etc...). It remains to be seen how well the crowns on my AP Diver fare.

oh I don't hate the rubber on the watch I just don't think it is a good idea on something years down the road would get worn out before SS would.

Too short for what?
And that rubber's not going anywhere for a long time.
