Omega's He Valve...

Post by CesarG » Sat Oct 01, 2011 7:27 pm

... I hate it. It ruins such classy case lines. At least hide it like on the PloProf! Or get rid of it... Damn marketing.... pisses me off just as much as Rolex and 20 line scripts on the dial.

Agree. A passive one would be OK, but don't like having the extra crown on the PO.

I could do without the big helium fart valve. I never hated it per se, but after owning the GMT (without it) I realized that I kinda do prefer it sans extra crown.

Jared Dont take it to heart mate, AFL fans love to hate Collingwood me I just give Omega a hard time.

Its like the Sith lord of watch companies.

With the exception of the SHOM and one or two other examples I don't have a kind word for the evil empire which is kind of funny when you concider whats in the post.

I'm with the Aussie and the smallish Asian guy. :1: Sets off the Seamaster in its own right. I've always liked the valve. Took me a year to figure out what it was, but that's cool. :bananastoner:

I must say... damn well said. I don't have much Helium here, either. But when I get some, it can and will escape. I guess it needs to for some odd reason.

I don't care for it or the novela on the dial of rolie's.

I totally dig the new SM PO Chrono (blue version of ref. 232.30.46.51.01.001) but would get the Aqua Terra Chrono (ref.231.10.44.52.04.001) long before the SM on account of the the dive watch making world's 'vestigial tail', the manual He valve, seriously Big 'O...this is not 'the lever protecting the crown'...let it go the way of the Beta and VHS already...put in a passive valve if you feel desk divers require saturation diving capability.

For the case, which I don't recognize! I mentioned manual HEV further on . . .

Just recalled a few other to use them: Blancpain's 500 fathoms, Germano & Walter...reckon Omega's just the most widely known for it.
