It was a g-schlock which I guess I'm now keeping forever. I actually teared up a little.

Thats awesome. I cant wait for Lincoln to say it. Ive been telling him "watch" for a while now. He just turned 1, ever since he was about 5 months old he would grab my watch when I was changing him and playing with him. He loved my Gshock, but the cool thing is that he loves bezels on dive watches.
Ive already thought about his first watch but I havent made a decision.
It will definately be a diver!

I loved it when I heard my kids say "dammit" and "shit" for the first times ever.

"Watch" actually would have been cooler.

I get jazzed that my 15 year old daughter still loves to help me pick my watches and give thumbs up or thumbs down. She has a knack.

In all seriousness, congrats. That is cool stuff... and it makes you glad you were there with them. Once a "first" happens with your kids, well that never happens again. Great stuff.

Ahhh! Kids

Yep, little myna birds for sure. You say it, they repeat it.

It gets to be even more fun with the GrandKids though . . .

. . . had my Grandson with us for the summer this year. He's 12 now. I figured it was time to get him out in the garage, turn a few wrenches and get greasy. Wifey's Buick had a leaky water pump, so perfect. He jumped right in, we got the job done. The usual headaches with a sideways V-6 . . . can't see, shock tower in the way . . . but we did 'er.

That night, Mom calls - - -

"Hi, how are you?"
"Hi Mom! Great!!!!! Grampa and I worked on Gramma's car today!"
"Really?!?!!? Wow, I bet that was fun working with Grampa. Did you fix the car??"
"Yep. We fixed it Mom. It was a real mother-fucker!!!"

Oops. Time to grab the phone before he ran off the list of everything else he heard :raised:

Congrats on the milestone, and of course, congrats on the new, little rugrat!

I still remember fondly when my son demonstrated to the salespeople at the Tourneau Time Machine on 57th Street how to work the hinged case, bezel and crown of my KonTiki Concept Diver at the ripe, old age of 3. I was so proud...

Yes, they do grow fast...

Congrats! They do grow up fast, and the things that come out of their mouths are priceless. On Sunday night, we were in the car coming back from dinner and my 6 year old was trying to divert our attention from some toy he had yanked away from his 4 year brother by complaining about some supposed ache or pain in his leg when out of the blue the four year old blurts out "Wimp!" with perfect timing and a degree of distain in his voice. My wife almost drove into the median she was laughing so hard and the 6 year old was so ruffled he had no comeback at all (very rare for a kid who has to always get the last word with all of us, especially his brother).

Wait til they start rotating bezel.... see if you can resist resetting them.

Lovely pictures of beautiful children Andrew, Adam. Mine are now 12 and almost 14 and I'm constantly saying to my wife that I miss them being little. She usually replies, "I don't!"

kids are too funny and some of the stuff they say with such innocence.

My daughter was explaining to me how one of the girls in her pre-k clas was being mean to another girl, and my daughter went over and told the one that was getting the grief that "it's okay because I love you and that is all that matters".
