I'm not even sure how this happened :-)

Post by GGD » Fri Nov 09, 2012 8:32 pm

So yesterday I went to a local AD to check out the Tudor Pelagos & also enquire about a blue dial Seawolf that I miss.

Loved the Pelagos... couldn't stop thinking about it but did the responsible thing and left to "think about it".

Today I headed out to have another look at the Pelagos (with CC in hand) because I was pretty sure I'd pull the trigger.

I take another look & again decide to think about it because it's not my usual style & want to be sure.

I walk down the road to my favourite AD just to browse & see what's new (they don't carry Tudor).

Whilst chatting to the Manager he tells me that they're no longer going to be carrying Bell & Ross and are looking to liquidate their existing stock (some at below cost)... and like a drug dealer putting a table full of crack in front of an addict he shows me the stash!!!

20 minutes later I walked out the door with this

I'm still not sure what happened other than I think I got a great deal & a pretty cool watch

I had the same experience today, Don. Went to lunch with a friend; came away with a watch.

That B&R is one I've never seen before. They're kinda cool watches, and especially that one. I liked the BR-02 I had for a sec.

That's really nice Donna. Go back and get the Pelagos now so I can buy it from you when you are done with it.

That's a cool one. I wouldn't ever pay retail for it, but at about 40-50% off its a solid value.

Nice pickup. Most of B&R's watches do little for me, but that is very nice.

Thanks guys - this one really pushes all my buttons to be honest.

I love ana/digi especially with a rotating bezel option as well. I could have grabbed the carbon (PVD) version but decided to go for the SS because the brushed finish / squared off lugs have a really cool industrial look that I like.

The rubber strap + the size of this one sits perfectly on my wrist which is a rarity for me (I'm normally between holes).

PS... the Pelagos is definately in my future (just not at the current price of $4700 at the AD).

Very cool. I too have a soft spot for ana-digi watches.

Very nice! I have never seen that one before. Is that one of their smaller cases?

That's about the least crappy B&R I've ever seen. I didn't even know they did ana-digi watches — cool! Makes a lot of sense, I like it.

I've had an an itch for that one ever since it was released. Basically, it's a Breitling B-1 in a cool square case, and lord knows I miss my B-1. I just wish it were thermocompensated, but even so, it's still a lot tougher and more accurate than any mechanical.

Good job, Don!

Regards,
Adam

PS - The French Air Force LE was pretty neat, too.
