Really didn't love anything at SIHH this year, and I thought I was going to really dig the new Inge line from IWC.
Agreed. Thus far, SIHH 2013 is a snore. Yes, I'm supposed to be out there boosting IWC, yet with the exception of the the ref. 3239 (the 40mm) and the ref 3785 (Racer Chronograph), you can color me unimpressed. Okay, fine, I'd gladly murder any of your for the Constant-Force Tourbillon, but that's different.
As for exotic materials, I'm all for them as far as research and pushing envelopes goes, but ultimately stainless steel works just fine for me. Sure, I'm looking forward to adding the Forged Carbon Diver to my collection, which will necessitate the departure of my stainless steel Diver, but that's pretty much the only watch that uses that material that I dig (it also helps that it was discontinued after year of production -- in favor of an all-ceramic model -- which is going to make it a rare bird indeed).
