Re: Boston Watch Company???
I don't hate it - just another watch to stick on the pile of not horrible watches that nobody has heard of.
Re: Boston Watch Company???
Fred makes a nice watch and this one looks pretty good. The $999 might be a bit high for a Miyota IMO, but if you get in - you get it for $600 which seems like a decent price.
I'd most likely wait and see about the used market.

I am not a fan of the round date window but I like everything else about it. Just the name limits the customers who would buy it imo.

The older I get, the less I like big cities. So far, the worst city I've ever been to? Chicago - it's everything I disliked about Oakland only more of it. It even looks like Oakland.toxicavenger wrote:I can honestly say Boston and NY are two cities I did not enjoy visiting.CGSshorty wrote:Boston sucks.

lol ... expect (and appreciate) that from a New YorkerCGSshorty wrote:Boston sucks.

Having lived in both, each have their own charms and crappiness. But at least Boston was over-ruled by MLB and didn't end up with A-Rod.

Mets fan ... ouch. Sorry bout that. Hopefully not Jets and Islanders too.CGSshorty wrote:I am a Mets fan. Tell Buckner Mookie says hi.
I remember hearing that Mookie and Buckner did some autograph sessions together.
Re: Boston Watch Company???
Fred Amos provides great service, bought a watch off him years ago. If I recall, the achilles heal of his watches was always lume.

Agreed. I bought a BBA years ago and for less than $200 it was a well put together watch. Lume was non-existent though.dnslater wrote:Fred Amos provides great service, bought a watch off him years ago. If I recall, the achilles heal of his watches was always lume.

That's pleasantly surprising. It even has a 120-click sapphire bezel.
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: Boston Watch Company???
Not bad...I don't care for the date window--but if it can still work after being in the Charles River then it's pretty solid
