I don't hate it - just another watch to stick on the pile of not horrible watches that nobody has heard of.

Fred makes a nice watch and this one looks pretty good. The $999 might be a bit high for a Miyota IMO, but if you get in - you get it for $600 which seems like a decent price.

I'd most likely wait and see about the used market.

I am not a fan of the round date window but I like everything else about it. Just the name limits the customers who would buy it imo.

The older I get, the less I like big cities. So far, the worst city I've ever been to? Chicago - it's everything I disliked about Oakland only more of it. It even looks like Oakland.

lol ... expect (and appreciate) that from a New Yorker :)

Having lived in both, each have their own charms and crappiness. But at least Boston was over-ruled by MLB and didn't end up with A-Rod.

Fred Amos provides great service, bought a watch off him years ago. If I recall, the achilles heal of his watches was always lume.

Agreed. I bought a BBA years ago and for less than $200 it was a well put together watch. Lume was non-existent though.

But NY has Fraudriquez. I took a couple shots of him at the Yankees Blue Jays game while in NY back in August. Believe it or not, I was in row 402.

That's pleasantly surprising. It even has a 120-click sapphire bezel.

Not bad...I don't care for the date window--but if it can still work after being in the Charles River then it's pretty solid
