Nope...even "Yale Men" aren't this big of a douche! I have worked with plenty of them in my career. Most of the time, they figure out that their undergrad education isn't worth anything...if Yale grad school, then it has a little weight.

I don't buy a thing this guy says...I work with some guys that make tons and tons of money on an annual basis. NONE of them act like this guy. Even if they are from "old money", they aren't like this guy. Most often the individuals with the most money are the ones that you would LEAST expect...not flashy or boisterous.

Hey conti...next time you are in CT let's get together for some dinner at Bespoke in New Haven...my treat.

It is a bit of fun though isn't it. I've never thought even from the Git-go that this was a legitimate poster. It's too absurd to be
even remotely real. Don't know if we'll find out who it actually is, I'm sure just someone having a Go to be funny. Of course over
at WUS......It would already be Closed and Deleted

I'm sure you've heard about it, but others may not know that women will soon begin serving on subs. I suspect they will be pretty popular.

So tell me Connie...what do you do for fun? Maybe a little caning, boarding school style? Or maybe a little rougher???

Luge lessons? Does someone ritualistically shave your testicles?

I'm sure I heard of your father...he invented the question mark, or something.

Why yes, my avatar IS indeed a picture of Ben Domenech. I happen to admire him as a very astute Conservative. However, if it is unsuitable, I shall remove it.

I would also inquire as to why many of you assume I am from England? I certainly never stated nor implied that I was. Point of fact, I am 100% American. I hail from the Northeast, but have spent much of my years travelling and living abroad. I do not pretend to be any other than who I am. I had no idea that a full diclosure of my personal life was necessary to participate in the discussion of horology.

I initially discovered this forum while seeking examples of vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathom dive watches, of which I am currently looking to purchase. You seem to be a very testy group. I'm not sure I understand the source of the hostility towards newcomers.

Cheers - Potter
WELCOME! I like your style! I think we are cut of the same cloth. I lower myself every day that I generously give of my important time and vastly superior thoughts and opinions to the working class - and yes, VERY testy group - in this forum. No need to to "diclose" (by the way, there should be an 's' before the 'c') your personal life or tell us about your "travelling" abroad (by the way, there is only one 'L' in that word). You may have become my personal hero! Glad to know that you are also a "100% American"! Like you, I am well traveled and educated.. very nice to know I have a kindred spirit here.. it's about time.

Can you say "once a douche bag always a douche bag" - I remain unimpressed, somewhat annoyed, and kind of soiled by his very presence on this forum.

I guess he stays.
