This just in...
Re: This just in...
Congrats that looks pretty awesome. Look forwards to a report once it's been on the wrist

Re: This just in...
Good to know about Mr. Kobayashi... He told me to get back to him January for the MMLE which has me wondering as the clock strikes midnight on the 1st, or fire-one off say the 15th? I want one desperately but don't want to keep emailing him like a kid screaming 'are we there yet?!" from the back seat. I really wish he would take my money now!
Congrats on the GS diver! On a good note you know that A) you won't need to re set the time until the batteries die and B) if it says 200m WR you know these Japanese engineers are comfortable with that rating without the trip-lock. Besides, you should never have to unscrew it!

Love it! Haven't decided yet how badly I want one of these.
Re: This just in...
I'm right with you Matt. I love Seiko and really like the clean look of this GS. Then I look at my wrist, see the 114060 on nato, and realize I'm supposed to be content.....smalls wrote:Love it! Haven't decided yet how badly I want one of these.

Rob that looks great. Never been a fan of white dials but this is the exception.

I would be selling the black bay blue for one of these to compliment the 114060. Not sure it would be too much of the same because I'd likely buy black. I do miss a nice grab and go quartz though.hoppyjr wrote:I'm right with you Matt. I love Seiko and really like the clean look of this GS. Thanks for the kind words guys. It is a great looking piece. Honestly, having owned several BB's, I wouldn't hesitate to dump one for the GS. This watch has nearly perfect proportions (unlike the BB) and the level of finishing is top notch. Even though I don't love the bracelet, I still do think it is better then that of the rather pedestrian BB bracelet. The big decision is whether you can stomach a quartz of this price range. I had a bit of an issue with it initially, but I am glad I did. This is my favorite purchase of the year.smalls wrote:I would be selling the black bay blue for one of these to compliment the 114060. Congrats Rob, that is a hot looking piece.
Re: This just in...
Congrats Rob. Thats a good looking, clean white dial. Is the battery change normal or specialty like the UX?
Enjoy it.
Enjoy it.

Well done rob.
The gs quartz screw down crown was a bit weird feeling initially.
I asked around and found out they all turn exactly 1.5x before screwing in.
Glad mr k took good care of ya :D

Re: This just in...
I recall reading that you remove caseback and there is a hatch to open for battery. It's supposed to be a long life battery anyway and the watch is supposed to have a long service interval.Sniper13 wrote:Congrats Rob. Thats a good looking, clean white dial. No special tools or oils as I recall.
Re: This just in...
I can't believe I missed this. Damn fine watch Rob, they look to be so well made. Congrats!
