I bet it feels good to say that, rather than to have it said about you.

Ok...this thread would've been better if you all didn't know what was in the box...so here goes.
My transaction with Mike's dude (Mr Kobayashi) was awesome. His communication was spot on and it was shipped secure as a bank vault. From payment, to receipt, it took less then a week from Japan. It came with signed papers, so the warranty is valid (a nice surprise). The GS pen and the watch case were nice bonuses I wasn't expecting.

As for the watch, it is over-all spectacular.
The good
The case finishing is easily as good as Rolex...I'd venture to say better. The bezel is wonderful and clicks as though it's on a similar ball bearing system (I'll have to look into this). The bezel font is less polarizing in person. I do wish it was a little more subdued, but I kind of dig it on the wrist. The hands have a really nice brushed finish which is spectacular. The dial almost has a pearl-like shine that changes colors based on the viewing angle. The crystal has that fancy gee-whiz coating, so based on the angle, you can't even tell it has a crystal. The bracelet and clasp are well done..more to follow. The second hand does tick along as expected, but it is perfectly aligned with the indexes on the chapter ring and has less bounce then say a UX quartz.

The meh :raised:
The bracelet is well made and has a nice taper. That being said, it is a bit light-weight compared to the new Rolex bracelets. It features the push pin/collar links, which I honestly hate. That being said, the adjustment mechanism is beautiful, albeit still not a huge improvement over the MM300 imo. The crown has a decent feel, but honestly again nothing like the trip-lock. It feels kind of wimpy to me. The box is bare bones...it is just the right amount of presentation, but nothing special.

Overall this is a great watch. Is it worth retail? - hell no. But at 30% off or more, it is a solid value. Is it a Rolex - nah. But then again it is apx half the cost. Is it a solid daily wear grab and go piece - absolutely.
I have no regrets and am looking forward to a LE MM300 next year from the same seller. Here are a few crappy pics. I'll work on gathering more thoughts later. Feel free to ping questions off of me for an unbiased opinion.
Enjoy

Congrats, Rob! Solid pick-up! I agree with your assessment of the clasp. Whole not the most elegant solution, it's hard to fault its functionality. I've yet to come across a clasp with as much range, and easily adjustable while on the wrist.
