Manchester Watch Works Armada - Solar Dive Watch

Post by toxicavenger » Fri Jun 05, 2015 8:08 am

Stolen from WatchURshit:

Those of us who backed the Tatostok just got notification of MWW launching their next project on Kickstarter on 6/1/15.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/32 ... ?ref=email
Quick specs:

- Seiko VS37 solar powered movement = no batteries to replace, no maintenance, no worries
- 41mm 316L steel case with 20mm lugs and 200m water resistance
- sapphire single domed crystal with inner anti-reflective coating
- choice of dials, bezels and leather and/or steel strap

Early birds will start at only $184 for the leather strap version and only $224 for the steel bracelet version (which also includes the leather strap)

i'm decidedly underwhelmed by the look.

i mean, price for solar on bracelet sounds pretty good. but visually they all seem to be bland to me (and i don't need two triangles on my bezel, thank you).

Looks nice. Very clean and simple. Solar is a plus to to me, but at 41mm a little small. Thanks Terry.

That's damn cheap. Which Seiko models use the VS37?

Quite like the one on rubber, but really don't like this trend going on with the crowns.

Sounds, and looks like a lot of watch for the price Terry ! Really like
the different looks that are available marker wise. The horizontal version
really catches the eye.

Also like that vintage style strap that evidently comes with the watches.

Really nice Terry ! THX !

The price is nice, but unfortunately it does nothing for me.

The line through the hour marker makes it look like the hour marker is a crooked triangle.

I've long wondered how and what movements Seiko sells to the market.

Not a fan of that crown at all.
