Re: New Improved Scurfa Diver One Stainless Steel
yeah, the height is a tough sell for me, 40mm but 16mm tall?
but it's a nice looking watch.
but it's a nice looking watch.
Re: New Improved Scurfa Diver One Stainless Steel

Pauls review from WUS:
Improved Diver One Stainless Steel from Scurfa Watches
I wanted to change the shape of the original Diver 1 Stainless Steel so it was not the same watch as the NATO so we now have 3 different models in the Diver 1 range but they still share the same features as the first ones that were made for my work colleagues offshore. The size is 40mm x 47.5 x 16mm.
I love the size and shape of the double reds and thought it would be good to make the Diver 1 stainless with similar proportions, it now has the dome sapphire with blue AR coating, a super luminous ceramic bezel insert, a thicker bezel, a thicker mid case, the D1 logo on the crown, same shape mid case with the crown guards squared off like the old style subs, a thicker case back with the diving helmet from my locker key ring from work, it's still 40mm, it's now 300m~1000ft, same style ploprof D1 dial with yellow hands to match our yellow dive helmets, Swiss Quartz for the Diver 1 range, the reliable and serviceable Ronda 515 Powertech.
The original diver 1 stainless steel on the bracelet was the first watch I sold online and it sold out quick, the new bracelet has pins instead of screws and that was something I should of done with the original. I've opted for a small clasp and have spent a lot of time looking for a clasp with a diving extension and I cannot buy one for this size bracelet, it will have to be made for me and the minimum order is 3000 pieces plus charges for tooling, I know hardly anyone uses the extension but I do want it to have one so when I can afford to have them made it will be made to fit this bracelet and available to anyone who wants to upgrade for a small cost.
I'm loving this watch as I think it's turned out really well, it's comfortable on the wrist at 40mm, it's fatter than before and looks bigger than what it is, I've done some for my mate Grahame Fowler to sell in his New York shop, he's a Rolex dive watch collector and his collection of Rolex and Tudor Milsubs is legendary (check the Hodinkee forum) his version of the Diver 1 Stainless Steel has his shop logo on the back and on the clasp and will be made in limited numbers.
I hope you like the new stainless model and as usual the website is not yet updated so if you want one mail us at paul@scurfawatches.com price is 132 plus 12.75 shipping sorry the shipping is more expensive than the silicon and NATO but it's a much heavier watch.

I had the original Diver One and loved it but sold it in an Idiot move! This might be the new Scurfa for me
