DC Watchbuys roadshow

Post by gwells » Sun Oct 18, 2015 7:14 am

since i doubt everyone looks on the Sinn forum and there's more than Sinn in here... here are the pics I took at the roadshow yesterday. just linking to the imgur album instead of trying to embed a crapload of pics.

some interesting stuff. a new brand that will debut next week, jager and benziger, which honestly doesn't do much for me but maybe some will like. all hand made. interesting movement on the black one. and right at the end, when pete and i were getting ready to leave, merlin (the nomos rep) showed up with a bunch of new nomos' that haven't been released for sale yet. a bunch of the new neomatiks and other watches with the new, thin automatic movement. some of the champagne dials. i liked the blue color on the junghans chronoscope, reaffirmed that i want both the UX and U1 (and yes, chris, rob sung your praises for the one you designed, so you'd better come through), as well as the nomos club dunkel. and maybe a 556/856.

Did Rob show you the photos of the new U1?

I don't care about photos, I'd just like to know the specs

Greg, thanks a lot for showing all of these like this !!! :headbang: Kind of feels like
I was trying those beauties on also. Just are amazing watches really !

Must have been unbelievable testing all of them out. You never really see
Thomas Ninchritz, or D Dornbluth & Sohn either. So they must have been extra
cool to see. ..Thanks once again for the post here, and news on those new
brands Greg !

Thanks for the pics. Wish I could have gone. Especially like the Dornbluth, and 2-register Junghans!
