Panerai 104 - Makes me Wanna Dance!!

Post by 1watchaholic » Tue Aug 31, 2010 3:51 pm

This is not a Dive watch but I have to share my excitement!! My Grail Quest is now complete! Delivered this weekend a Panerai Luminor Marina aka PAM 104. My all time grail was secured last year, a Rolex Two-Toned Submariner. But the desire to have a Panny wouldn't go away. Whenever I'd get some funds I'd see something I wanted, boom Panny fund empty. I figured I'd just embrace the Nike slogan and "Just Do It!" So, after holding a "Grail Sale" (Hard to let go of my PO Quantum of Solace :crybaby: ) I have a PAM 104 in da Hizzy!! Everything added to the collection from this point will be icing on the cake now that the cake is complete! :fro:

Great job. I have been "saving" for a Panerai for a long time but I keep spending the money on other watches. Maybe it is time to just bite the bullet and buy one.

Very nice PAM

Since when is that not a dive watch? I know it's not something you would really use for diving, but I though it was still a "dive watch".

That is really one of my favorite PAMs. Congratulations.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

I wanted 44mm, wanted auto, wanted polished case, wanted date and seconds feature and the 104 and 164 popped up. The 164 was brushed and had numerals at on the markers so the PAM 104 got the nod. The PAM 88 GMT was at the top of my list for a long while but I decided on a simpler look.

I guess it maybe, but they have their submersible line which I view more as a "dive" watch. The only water that will hit this baby will be by accident when washing my hands!!

i had a 104 at one time and should have never should have sold it......it was one of those watches i regret ever letting go.....i still have a few panerais to wear in the rotation but the 104 is badly missed

enjoy your 104 and don't make the same mistake i did......

keep it even if you find a new grail.....

Er, guys, this thread is over a year old. The watch is not new. In fact, who's to say he still has it?
