Period.

If you think I’m wrong for saying it, okay. But he has never given y’all a straight answer. I’ve got nothing to gain or lose by calling him out.

Matt is a lying pos.
Let me start by saying that you have zero credibility in this group, so your accusations carry the same weight as teenage gossip.

Matt does not need defending, he is more than capable of doing that on his own. I will say that Matt is well liked here and I have hung out with him on several occasions. Matt is a stand up guy, honest and humble.

I have handled the Diver-1, which lead to the purchase of #023. I know that a lot of thought (and money) went in to the design and marketing of ARES’ first production watch. It is because of Matt’s reputation, that ARES has been recognized by not only the watch community but also some big name companies, that are looking to back the brand.

Back to my point...no one knows who you are Erik...failed underwear model? Wanna-be commando?

No one here wants to hear your “Matt Graham won’t be my friend, so he’s a POS” whining.

My favorite part of this was when Erik said nasty stuff and then threw his keyboard down and ran away.

But we weren’t done so we started grading each other’s posts for grammar. Hahaha

Good Lord, what a shit show. Not any of you guys (especially manitoujie) who’ve shown typical Dee-dub humor throughout; rather E Clabaugh.

Erik, I’m not sure why you have such a hard on for talking down Graham, but some of us have even trained under him, and met some of his work friends, let alone met the man. If you don’t like the watch, no sweat, don’t buy it. If you’ve got a resume beef, cite your sources. If you’re just out to stir shit and be a dick, drive on.

“trained with” sounds better than “trained under” (Ben was already trying to sign up for a class).

What a shit show

I think the confusion came from that dork on YouTube that called Matt CIA operative in his video. Mabe he should take that down since Matt was not in CIA?

I guess everyone assumes CIA means “spy” but that isn’t always the case.

The training isn’t gay unless there’s eye contact.

If you’re planning on coming here and making accusations- great. We all like the truth. But how about bringing some facts with you.

And Eric with a K made statements like he was in the CIA... is he not? If he isn’t, then how is he getting any information?

So I heard Paul is not a frogman SEAL tac dude he claims... I found out he’s just some dork on a swim team.
Here he is, front row, 5th. The little one with a slight chub poking out (if you zoom).

Woah. For a moment I thought I'd stumbled into the Kobold thread by accident

Has this Erik guy ever detailed what his specific concern is?

Yep, I do.

All watch components will be on hand by Monday and we can start working on assembly and then QC and testing.

On or around the 11th we’ll be done cutting the US-made casebacks, which I didn’t think I would get to on this initial run but am able to do. From a design and business standpoint I would rather get the US-casebacks cut now - since I have the ability to - and ship the very first ARES watches with a great start towards total domestic manufacturing than wait until later. It’s a function of the best thing we can do with the resources we have. It also continues to differentiate us as a manufacturer and a brand and not a hobby.

That puts us on track to finish assembly and start shipping & delivering watches around the 20th, which is only a 48-hour shift in a span of 7 months. I’m really happy with that.

So, there we are.
