Re: Groomsmen Gift
It's a simple solution. You buy each of them one cold beer and put all the extra cash in your saxophone case. Use all of that extra money to take your lady on a week trip (in 6 months). She will need it.

Re: Groomsmen Gift
That's a good one.
Goes in the pocket and your friend wouldn't be reminded by a watch on the wrist if the marriage ever went sour. Grim but a reality.
Best gift I ever got as the best man was a crap things remembered glass beer mug with a glued-on pewter placcard of the wedding day. And yep, they're well divorced now.
Wait, are you the best man or the groom? Apologies if you're the groom! I'm a dick... Maybe 6 bottles+ of hot sauce?

Groomsman many times and the only one I remember and still have is a silver shot glass.
Re: Groomsmen Gift
They should have something to remember. Buy 'em a good time.
No, it's not Tourettes.

Yep, cock rings
Re: Groomsmen Gift
I got my groomsmen each a G-shock and one for myself. They both wear it regularly and is a reminder of our friendship.

I’ve never understood the flask thing. I’ve never used a flask in my life. Why would I want an engraved one?

That's another gift I received from a groom. I used it once on a camping trip. Other than that, it sits in my dresser drawer. I think they used to be more popular when you couldn't just buy alcohol everywhere. I imagine people who spend a lot of time camping or in the outdoors may still use them, but I don't even take it skiing. There's plenty of booze in the lodge.

Yep, I was going to suggest the same thing. When I got married I gave my guys a nice quality pocket knife. Very useful for many years to come. Lots of brands and price ranges to choose from.

Something better to sooth my eyes....
Re: Groomsmen Gift
Kershaw knife is a great idea. I got one last year and always have it in the 5th pocket unless I'm at work. I use it daily.

The majority of my groomsmen were big golfers. I got with a local golf pro and got Class Ping mallet putters for all of them with their initials and the wedding date printed on the sole. Over 10 years ago now and three of them are still using it regularly. Surprisingly affordable too.

most of the ones I've received I couldn't point to today. i remember a pair of cufflinks that I can't find, a flask i lost at a bonfire party, etc.
but my brother in law gave us all these very nice jetbeams, and i still keep that one very close.

I’m not a very sentimental person most of the time. I’ve knowingly thrown away some of the gifts I’ve received that were just taking up space.

I’ve had one for four years and I still love it, it’s held up well:

The SAK is a nice suggestion too.
The only time I see flask are at sporting events when the beer is $8. A lot of guys keep them in their coats and swig during the games.

I like this idea. User friendly and useful. Being in the city, my only hesitation are stupid knife laws but the flashlight is really unique.matt.wu wrote:jtbenson wrote:most of the ones I've received I couldn't point to today. i remember a pair of cufflinks that I can't find, a flask i lost at a bonfire party, etc.

FWIW, a small SAK or small 2” or less blade lockback would be legal anywhere in the USA.zepp21 wrote:I like this idea. User friendly and useful.
