Oris Momotaro
Oris Momotaro
I received the Oris Momotaro yesterday and am very happy with it. The dial color is beautiful. The bronze looks cool, but It needs some patina (no eggs/lemon juice/god knows what else like those Paneristi idiots, just salt water swims). The 120 click bezel is nicely tight. The domed crystal looks great.
The strap wears really well and is an excellent match with the watch. I know there are differing opinions on this, but they’re clearly from snobs.
Though I don’t dabble in high end denim (more like mid-range) I appreciate the coolness of the strap. The white stripes don’t trouble me because they’re on the opposite side and I barely notice them. The strap will come off for the water.
100m WR? That’s okay for my swim/snorkeling use.
38 hr PR? Not troubled by it. The lume is mediocre on the indices, better on the hands.
Ever since I attended an Oris event where diving legend and Master Diver Carl Brashear’s son spoke, I’ve been a fan. I was waiting for the right one.
Thanks to Topper for the smooth transaction. If you haven't dealt with them, they're highly recommended.

Re: Oris Momotaro
That looks great. I liked the watch and strap from the beginning. I look forward to seeing that one in person.

Looks great on your wrist, Jay; congratulations.
Re: Oris Momotaro
Good looking watch, I like it.
I also liked my 65-42, but wish that model had 20mm lugs and no date.

Think that you definitely picked, or decided on the right one
here Andy ! On the one hand it’s just a really beautiful,
as well as traditional look. However, with the changing of gears
in the hypnotic dial, along with incredible bronze. It really is
just as modern as it is classic.
Just the cool strap is amazing, and makes the watch that much
more fun ! Hope you really are enjoying sir. ..Huge congrats !!!
