Be careful with those Rolexes too, a very common target.

Maybe it was stolen by a WIS just for the pleasure of wearing it?

Looks like it’s dangerous in Beverly Hills and Hollywood they steal watches and your dogs ands read machine gun Kelly drummer got mugged were they took 3 grand or more worth of property off him. Dam why I like it we’re I live now we’re it’s safe to walk with out being robbed. And that’s one ugly watch.

Agree 100%. I used to say some of these big cities were “nice places to visit...” but I don’t even think that any more. I’m not sure I’d want to go visit NYC right now, for example.
I’m sure COVID and the related stress of isolation and unemployment has a lot to do with the escalation of crime, but when armed robbery and random acts of violence (attacks on people of Asian ethnicity, subway platform pushers, etc.) becomes more commonplace, there is definitely something broken in those locations.
All that said, I know thinking my location allows me to be complacent is a mistake. This type of crime can certainly happen anywhere.

You're a narcissistic pretentious A-HOLE, and dumb, for even wearing a half million dollar target on your wrist, especially with the way things are right now.
Re: $500,000 Richard Mille watch stolen at gunpoint in Beverly Hills
Man, that was crazy to see Andrew !
Was thinking it was just someone taking the watch off of someone's wrist
to be honest. However, can see it was a really a traumatic experience for
a ton of people there. Honestly don't understand why people can't just
leave other people alone. This incident was a lot more than just the
stealing of a watch. Those people are honestly going to always remember
how terrible a day this was.
So upsetting really. But still appreciate the report sir. Thanks very much !!!

You’d think someone who can afford that kind of bauble could also afford a private security guy to keep an eye on things.

Over under on the actual cost to manufacture? I mean, I guess there's some intrinsic art value, or not.

Listen pal, I WAS gonna wear mine when I win Wimbledon next year, but since you have shamed me so I guess it’s back in the safe it goes.59yukon01 wrote:You're a narcissistic pretentious A-HOLE, and dumb, for even wearing a half million dollar target on your wrist, especially with the way things are right now.

I’m not going to blame the victim on this one unless it is found out that the robbers knew what they were stealing (i.e. an inside job).
The linked story states this has happened in this area before. I suspect it is a group of people who simply want to rob and have no inhibitions regarding using deadly force to take what they want. My guess is they are just targeting an area where wealthy people gather and looking for targets of opportunity. They shot a woman who was simply a bystander.
I’ll give you three guesses why these type of thugs very rarely target rednecks for this type of crime. You don’t really have a choice whether you are going to be a target of violent crime. You just don’t need to be an easy one.

Well I am a conservative thinking a-hole after all, so you should expect nothing less from me.hoppyjr wrote:Listen pal, I WAS gonna wear mine when I win Wimbledon next year, but since you have shamed me so I guess it’s back in the safe it goes.59yukon01 wrote:You're a narcissistic pretentious A-HOLE, and dumb, for even wearing a half million dollar target on your wrist, especially with the way things are right now.

I’ve been a cop too long. I wouldn’t be shocked if it is some kind of insurance fraud scheme gone wrong.

I was thinking the same thing, particularly since, even in Beverly Hills, I'm not sure how many garden variety criminals would know to target a RM. And how many jewelers take what I have to assume is one of their most expensive watches and wear it out to lunch? But the guy who was robbed says he actively fought the robber (though I guess that could be BS or staged). And I wonder if the jeweler might have voided his insurance policy by taking the watch "out for a spin."
