It is just a matter of alignment of the hands when they install them. No damage to worry about, just an annoyance.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 4:58 amI received my red samui yesterday and noticed that the date wheel changes 5 minutes after the hour. My other watches date wheel change just before or right on the hour.
My Synchron Military date wheel changes exactly on the hour.
Is that normal to change date after the hour?

There was some mention of a discount code?
“Punishable by fine” = Legal for a price.”
Re: Maranez Military/Army
I think it was “MAF”
The beauty of a $300 watch is you have little fear when taking a dremel to it.
I polished the outer edge of the bezel and painted the numbers turquoise to match the dial.

I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. Like I said, I'm a heck of a lot more brave with a $300 watch. I'm not certain I would want my first attempt at bezel polishing to be on an actual Doxa.
FWIW, taking aside the "homage" / "copy" / "almost replica" debate, I do think the GMT scale on the Maranez is actually more useful than the no deco scale on the authentic Doxa.
I use the BOR bracelet from the Maranez on my Synchron, and my daughter has been enjoying this Samui.

Have you put the maranez bracelet on your military?Ryeguy wrote:Thanks!BBK357 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 4:44 amThat looks great !Ryeguy wrote:I think it was “MAF”

I was reading post on WUS that said it doesn’t fit right, and also the spring bars have to be really small diameter for the military.

Yup. That was the reason I bought the Maranez in the first place. I really just wanted the bracelet but at the time they weren’t selling the bracelet without the watch.BBK357 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:14 pmHave you put the maranez bracelet on your military?Ryeguy wrote:Thanks!BBK357 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 4:44 amThat looks great !Ryeguy wrote:I think it was “MAF”

You do have to use thin spring bars as the holes don’t exactly line up. They are a fraction of a mm off. I used 1.1mm spring bars purchased from Esslinger.
It feels pretty secure on the bracelet now, but I do wish it worked with thicker bars.

Re: Maranez Military/Army
if it has hollow endlinks you can make the tube for the spring bar wider.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 6:41 pm27275187-CCD9-4A32-8902-45618405C952.jpegBBK357 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:14 pmHave you put the maranez bracelet on your military?Ryeguy wrote:Thanks!BBK357 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 4:44 amThat looks great !Ryeguy wrote:I think it was “MAF”

Yes, but the Maranez bracelet endlinks are solid so no adjustment possible.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 9:09 amif it has hollow endlinks you can make the tube for the spring bar wider.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 6:41 pm27275187-CCD9-4A32-8902-45618405C952.jpegBBK357 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:14 pmHave you put the maranez bracelet on your military?Ryeguy wrote:Thanks!BBK357 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 4:44 amThat looks great !Ryeguy wrote:I think it was “MAF”

On the positive side, the endlinks fit perfectly to the case with no gap at all, so the spring bars aren’t being overly stressed with additional movement.

Yeah, that does look good. The Suppaparts bracelet has folded / hollow endlinks so adjustments are possible.

Oh nice, very cool Kempo !
Definitely didn’t know about these that’s for sure.
The Titanium really does look great, and the price
is very reasonable as well. Especially since it looks
like a million $.
Want to thank you for the news !!!
