I got this Waldan in today, a small brand with history in a higher price range (Classics collection) and now making affordable watches, assembled in the US with a full US made quartz movement.
I’ve been wanting a pastel dial watch and almost got an OP but after trying one on decided to pass. Other known brands like Oris makes pastel watches but I decided to go for something more affordable while still fun and different.

That's nice, Brice, and very cool that it has a US made movement. I didn't even know there was anyone making movements here. Curious what made you pass on the Tiffany OP?Jeep99dad wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 10:49 amI got this Waldan in today, a small brand with history in a higher price range (Classics collection) and now making affordable watches, assembled in the US with a full US made quartz movement.

Fine Timepiece Solutions in Fountain Hills, AZ just outside Phoenix, about 20 miles from mi casa... produce Ameriquartz movements... they've been doing work for a few 'assembled in USA' brands and are trying to increase their presence in the industry... I hear they're hiring too! https://www.ftsusa.usjswing wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 10:57 amThat's nice, Brice, and very cool that it has a US made movement. I was really into the yellow and blue OP, was waiting for one and got to try it on at a GTG. Felt underwhelming, wore small for its size and just didn’t that wow factor… and if I’m gonna spend 6k on a watch I want to feel better about it plus I wasn’t sure how often I’d wear a pastel dial watch so figured I’d go with an affordablejswing wrote:That's nice, Brice, and very cool that it has a US made movement. Makes sense, I don't think I'd actually wear it either, I don't really do much color. I really wanted a silver OP for a while, but the urgency has passed.Jeep99dad wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 12:22 pmI was really into the yellow and blue OP, was waiting for one and got to try it on at a GTG. Cool. I see they do a few autos also. I'd have been interested in that Benrus if I'd known about it. Would have been especially cool if it had a US movement. I'd definitely be interested in an all US made watch. Are you going to work there?

Just got it back had a hand winding problem were when you hand wind it you felt a click as you turned the crown. I guess the watchmaker replace a small gear now fixed for 40 bucks. Was worried it was the crown thank god it was not the crown those are hard to find.

The dial color is super nice and I much prefer those markers and hands to the BLNR SMP worthy skeleton hands.

Love it. As a serial flipper, it was one I kept longer than usual. Prices, like most watches, have shot up on these as well. Congrats Hophoppyjr wrote:
