Ianos Mihanikos
This one has a lot of cool details.
43mm x 50.8 x 15.7
20mm straps

Never seen this before
Other than the sterile bezel, I think they did a great job

That's pretty damn cool. I really like the fixed lugs and the groove in the caseback allowing for a thick rubber strap. Bezel reminds me of Enebi, but not too useful. Solid movement. And it's not breaking the bank, which is always a plus. If I weren't in on the new Pelagos already I'd be tempted.

Re: Ianos Mihanikos
I like this. Nice to see some useful innovation in watches with the strap cut-out, well done.
I wonder how grippy the bezel will be turn with those sloping sides?
My only niggle really is the prevalence of the lobe shape on the dial, not to be confused with Isotope branding.

That case back cut out is pretty cool, thanks, AT
Re: Ianos Mihanikos
I wonder how it opens?
I can never get screw in casebacks to line up straight when tightened.

Opening the thread I wa expecting to find a Mediterranean destination
Re: Ianos Mihanikos
My first thought too. Would need incredible precision on the threading of the metal parts and would always need to use the correct gasket so it aligns when closed. Otherwise a very clever design. Wish it was a tad smaller.
Just like the Tudor, the long lugs and fixed bar makes the thick strap hand way out on the ends.
Re: Ianos Mihanikos
My first thought was that it was non-screw down, but that doesn’t make sense with 300m water resistance. Maybe you have to go in through the front to service it like a monobloc Seiko. Or maybe it has a screw down caseback underneath the visible caseback. I’ve never heard of that, but I suppose it’s possible.dnslater wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 4:54 amMy first thought too. Oh man, this really is an impressive watch though.
Like Shannon is saying, there are so many neat details it's amazing.
And really just a detail like the case-back is great, as well as something
you never see done with other watches. Wow, check that out.
Actually what is so interesting, is the watch gives you a totally different
feel at every turn, yet somehow feels timeless. It's pretty terrific, and
so was having a chance to see it. Thanks a lot Shannon !!!
