My name is Dmitriy, I am living in Munich, Germany, and since near 6 years was developing a technology to produce volumetric dials.
Finally I made it. Now it is complicated technology allowing me to make these nice handmade 3D dials accuracy suitable with wrist watches.
I would like to show you what I have and will be very interesting to hear your opinion, do you like it or not, why, what could be improved?
I have made currently a watches with following specs:
Swiss Parts Ronda Movement
316L Stainless Steel Case
5ATM Water Resistance
Sapphire Crystal Glass
4 Dial Designs, 4 Dial Colors with color shifting effects
3 Case colors
15 Strap options
Personal Engraving Feature
Pictures below are based on 2 years old prototypes when now I am waiting for a new watches with several quality improvements.
Later on will make a new ones and can include your feedbacks.
What do you think about it? Like it? Could you imagine yourself wearing such watch?

Re: Volumenzeit Watches with 3D dials
Honestly?
Put a quartz movement in it. Sell it via women's fashion outlets. You'll make loads of cash.
But its probably a million miles from the kind of watches most people here go for. (IMO)

But it's already having a quartz movement Ronda.OrangeSport wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 9:11 amHonestly?

By the statistics it is more popular for Male audience. But I am going to try all options to share
Could be. But still interesting what people are thinking about this approach.OrangeSport wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 9:11 amBut its probably a million miles from the kind of watches most people here godforsaken (IMO)
Re: Volumenzeit Watches with 3D dials
You have a good attitude, which will surely help.
I believe we have one person on this forum who may like such a watch, but he’s abnormally nice and likes everything.
This isn’t your audience.

I just think this is the wrong forum to really get guidance on such a watch.

Thanks! Doing my best
Sounds so interesting - abnormally nice. Usually it is not a bad point
People are having different tastes and interests, who knows... And to hear a feedback from other side of the road it is also interesting and useful

I traded the van for a Nissan Leaf. Not as much room, but it’s all about being green.dnslater wrote:Usually, but Hoppy is extra into the "abnormal".Volumenzeit wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 9:31 amSounds so interesting - abnormally nice. Usually it is not a bad point
Re: Volumenzeit Watches with 3D dials
Wearing a watch that says "love" in 50 different languages while enticing people into your van for nefarious purposes has a certain "serial killer chic" ring to it.hoppyjr wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 11:07 amI traded the van for a Nissan Leaf. Re: Volumenzeit Watches with 3D dials
Yup, I think it is I who might be the one who likes these Dmitriy.
Just really want to welcome you to DWC, and thanks just for joining up.
Honestly these watches seem great to me because you are doing something
different. Yet something that may also remind a lot of us of those eye-catching
dials companies did back in the 70's, and maybe even 60's. But the difference
is that your watches actually have 3D dials, where the watches years back had
the special effect only.
So it's very cool to see you updating, as well as innovating the idea.
The only thing I would add, or suggest, is possibly to add dive watches,
or other styles like aviation/pilots into the mix. ..Imagine an honest to
goodness 3D wave pattern on a diver? Or cool pattern on a pilot's watch?
I think a lot of people would enjoy that.
In any case, thanks once again for joining up, and showing these to us !

You are helping me to move forward.
I exactly wanted to make something different from 1000 existing brands with around the same design.AtomicTom wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 12:13 pmThe only thing I would add, or suggest, is possibly to add dive watches,

But I am receiving many suggestions to play around dive or pitol designs. I definitely have to think about it.
The problem is that I cannot do all what I want, each single design takes many months of work and a lot of money. I need to start at some point to be able to continue making more options. But as I said, definitely will think about dive or aviation, I personally like aviation style. Maybe one of the next design =)

I don't know. If he can figure out how to layer 3D penis shapes on a dial, he'll probably sell out here.Captdave wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:54 amWrong demographic here but as mentioned above quartz movement and women’s watches you’ll make a fortune.OrangeSport wrote:Honestly?

Re: Volumenzeit Watches with 3D dials
I’m curious where else he might have posted. As was already said, we’re not the target demographic. I woulda thunk the words “Dive Watch” in our name was a clue.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
