Yeah, got excited when I heard new Planet Ocean but meh. Still too big and does anyone really need 6000m WR?

The whole new collection has an “inspired by Rolex” feel to it. Deep diver with gradient dial, bright colors, green dive watch, etc etc.

Well, I like that the deep diver has no date, and the ti version has fixed lugs, that's different. Don't like the colors or price. There's nothing in the intros that would prompt me to sell off something I already have.

I thought the exact same thing. Rolex circa 2020.

Really disappointing products this time. The world really doesn’t need a 45mm ultra-thick Planet Ocean….especially at $12k! The existing PO 8900 is a fantastic watch at about half the cost.

I just don’t get it….Omega has two potential winners that would be instant hits:

- a sword hands version of the 2254, which can be done with a simple dial & hands redesign on the existing Seamaster case.

- bring back the old Seamaster 300 in MOD style. They surely have leftover cases, but could give us one in titanium grade 5. No HEV and no faux lume (BTW I’m calling the fake lume Fauci lume from now on, since he’s a fake doctor).

…..and enough with the two-tone lume already!

I like the Speedmaster '57 reissue. Good size and I like the variety of colors, especially the green. Not sure about the mechanical movement - doesn't bother me, but I don't know if that appeals to the average customer. This isn't the Speedy Pro after all, regardless of the original watch it's based on.

The new green SMP is okay, I guess. I think I'd like it better if they had left the dial black and just done the bezel in green.

The new Aqua Terras do seem like an attempt to follow in the Rolex OP footsteps. At least they didn't do a "Tiffany" dial version. I'd much rather have one of the AT's they already offer.

The Ultra Deep is just ridiculous, no matter how advanced the tech might be. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. I'm not sure who will buy it, especially for five figures.

love the fixed lug on strap ti one
sandblasted ti looks great
brushed grey bezel insert looks great
no date
yes it's too thick and too expensive, but i could probably maybe actually purchase one

I love the front. I'm not sure what the point is of having a display back case for a chronograph when the entire movement is covered by a plate. It's a pretty plate, but still...

Speedy is definitely my favorite from today's releases. Green one looks pretty nice, and the black one with the fauxtina. The green Seamaster would look better with gilt hands and dial.

Aquaterras will sell a lot. Nice His and Her's watch.

That ultra deep is a blatant rip off of the gradient DSSD. Omega needs to look at their back catalog -- not Rolex's current catalog.

On edit: They have flashy colored dials for their OP style watch too! Omega is clearly going after the "I'd buy a Rolex if I could, but I guess this Omega is similar enough and it's sitting in the case" buyer.

Which is probably why I almost like it, since I have the Tudor. But my Tudor FXD is a more sedate color and 1/3 the price.

Insane prices, and even though I'm an Omega fan, if I were spending that much, I'd go for the Deepsea.

fixed lug case has been around far longer than either the tudor nationale or these omega manta lugs.
that niggling detail aside, the manta lugs/case design is from the prototype omega that broke the record in 2019, so not sure how that rips off the tudor?

Because Tudor just released their watch to much fanfare only for Omega to follow up with the exact same design fitted to a knock off Rolex DSSD

Maybe Omega has been working on the design for 50 years, but that doesn't matter -- what matters is that they released it 3 months after Tudor in a lineup that is clearly heavily inspired by Rolex.

You know what's nice though guys, is the fact that they are actually regular
watches, or editions. :) It seems like every other watch being released as
of late has been a special, or limited edition. So it's just great to see new
watches that are, or will be available to everyone, and made for a while
too.

And you have the invention of O-MEGASTEEL too which is mega cool.

Really appreciate the report Todd. Thanks a lot for the news !

on the plus (for me and wu) and minus (for everyone else), they still haven't figured out that the white dial/grey bezel PO would be a hit.

I'm not sure why they didn't use the ploprof design as the basis for the ultra deep. It still would have been unwearably thick, but at least it would have been more true Omega's DNA. That said, I imagine the standard PO is a better seller for Omega than the standard ploprof.
