Re: Watch projects
Thank you Very Much for the kind words. I took the liberty to do one last tweak, . I replaced the seconds hand to make it more visible.
By the way this originally is an Islander Turtle with Seiko movement, blasted case, domed sapphire and ceramic lumed bezel, it now has a military dial and pilot hands.
Pretty much perfect now, at least for me.

Re: Watch projects
This is not my usual project, in fact I could say that it is pretty much an homage. It is not a secret that I like the SM300 style and in fact in the past I had a CWC and a Precista that were similar. This project was done using a Karlskrona Baltic Shield and while similar it is different enough that it is obviously not a copy. One look at the case shape and dimensions and one can immediately see that. Still follows the dial and hands pattern which is what I like about it.

Re: Watch projects
Unbelievable stuff Carlo, and honestly the both of these look perfect
to me to tell the truth !! It has to be a real joy to be able to go,
and transform any watch you see sir. I mean it can be a Seiko, one of
the new Islander watch’s, or even a Baltic, and you can supercharge it.
It’s always been remarkable to see, but it never ceases to amaze each,
and every time I, or we see it. And what I love too, is that you
you somehow always seem to do the right things when creating your
newest masterpieces.
It’s so much fun to see, I can’t even put it into words. The way you are
able to put your taste, as well as knowledge about watches into actual
projects like this is astonishing to see. ..Honestly, can’t thank you enough
for the ultra cool look, and a GIANT congrats on the final results too !!!

Re: Watch projects
Thank you very much. Here is the next one, originally a Maranez Samui (Doxa Homage) I installed a Military Firefly dial and hands. Lume is cool, green and blue.

Re: Watch projects
O.K. this one's off the charts awesome as well sir !
That was a real master stroke adding in this Firefly dial Carlo, because now
you have an equally dynamic dial to go along with the case, as well as crazy
cool bezel. It balances the watch in a really terrific way to the point where
one detail almost becomes the next. It's pretty great how now your eyes
goes from the bezel to dial, or the dial, to the bezel in one fantastic gaze.
And then the new dial really does seem as if it's on fire in the dark.
It's a Firefly dial, which looks like it's on fire, and was bult by you Carlo,
who is on fire with these exceptional projects !
Yowza, who even cares what time it is with watches like this sir. Incredible !!!

I like what you did here Carlo. Great work as always.CarloDWC wrote:This is not my usual project, in fact I could say that it is pretty much an homage. Re: Watch projects
Ooh neat, you have to be extremely pleased with how the Brian May
turned out I bet Carlo !
First off the watch just rocks, pun intended. It feels just like the
watches in which Seiko made. However, it feels more aggressive, and
substantial thanks to the stainless steel bracelet. Not to mention, the
hands you went with which add yet another layer of cool to this already
amazing dial. ..I swear the texture almost looks like some type of wood
as well which is beautiful. It's actually more like a genuine guitar grain
from here. Plus the tone is a red meeting up with brown, which is very
nice Carlo.
I don't know how you do it, but you always seem to amaze sir.
Thanks once again for the look !!! ..Remarkable work as always.

Re: Watch projects
Thank you Chris and Tom, and yes the texture on that red dial is very nice and special. I never cared much for red dials but this one is one I had to have... All parts are Seiko by the way, minus the bezel insert...

Re: Watch projects
Thank you Martin.
The next project was completed a couple of months ago, it is a Seiko SKX with drilled lugs, domed sapphire, smooth bezel, 6r15 movement and MKII dial and hands. The bracelet is a Super Oyster. This is one of my favorite:

Re: Watch projects
Don't mention it sir, it's insanely fun just seeing all of these.
And if there was ever a red dial to have, or that might get you into red dials
this would be it with the Brian May Carlo. It is a real looker honestly. As
is this SKX with MKII dial, and Super Oyster bracelet. Seriously, this watch
not only looks unbelievably refined, as well as elegant. But it also has this
cool fiery side to it too I think. And really the watch is transformed
from a pure sport watch, to more of a neat hybrid. One which can still be
nice, and sporty, but has an added touch of class, and refinement. It really
is so much fun to see how a watch can transform into something else entirely
different like this.
I think this creation will take on any occasion, as well as take anything that
you can throw at it Carlo. Astounding stuff once again !!!
Re: Watch projects
Thank you my friend. The next project is also a special edition dial, it has Stingrays in it, this was done using parts from a King Seiko Turtle, the dial and hands from other models.

Re: Watch projects
The next one I actually just completed is this, aftermarket SKX with no Crown guards, domed sapphire, coin edge bezel, orange SKX009 dial and some other Seiko model hands.
