New Citizen Promaster Dive Automatic 200m models
Guys, have you by chance seen Citizen’s newest Promaster Dive
Automatic 200m already?
There look to actually be eight variations. With either stainless
steel, or black ion plated 44mm cases, cool unidirectional diving
bezels with aluminum inserts, colorful dials, Calibre Citizen 8204
automatic movement, along with rubber straps, and stainless steel
bracelets also.
Just a few pictures...
Monochrome, snd Citizen with a lot more info...

I like the PVD model black dial white hands a lot.

I like a few of these, but I think the previous generation was 40 or 42mm?

It was 42mm (41.8) but the watch wears smaller because of the bezel; little smaller then SKX so the new 44 should wear greatjswing wrote:I like a few of these, but I think the previous generation was 40 or 42mm?

The SKX definitely wears smaller than 42mm. I've never tried the Citizen to know myself, but I trust you're correct. Still, looking at yours, I do prefer the previous gen. I've always meant to try one and never got around to it. Plus there's another Citizen diver coming soon that I'm interested in. Some day I'll have a Citizen diver.martyloveswatches wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 7:13 amIt was 42mm (41.8) but the watch wears smaller because of the bezel; little smaller then SKX so the new 44 should wear greatjswing wrote:I like a few of these, but I think the previous generation was 40 or 42mm?

Nothing new here except the size and higher price. Thanks for posting Tom.

Thank YOU Steve, and everyone !!!
That PVD model does look terrific both in the light, as well as
the dark it looks like thanks to the lume dial. But the green
dialed, and black, or blue dialed one’s look mean as well.
Isn’t it something how a finish can give a watch a whole new
personality?!
The stainless has a sporty feel, while the two tone brings in
that neat dress vibe. And the various colors each add a nice
twist.
Oh, and guys, maybe that new more wild crown has something
to with the 44mm size as well. I know some times they add the
crown into the measurement, so that could be part of it.
Can’t thank you guys enough for your pictures, as well as for
sharing your thoughts !!! ..And Alex, fingers crossed for the
PVD Aqualand !

NY0040 is a great budget diver. For me, the applied markers, handset and more accurate 8203 with longer pr and handwinding option, makes it a more desireable then skx (+ is way cheaper now when skx is crazy expensive)jswing wrote:
Comparing the NY0040 with newer Citizen models I still prefer the NY0040. I think bezel font and hands are just nicer. Yellow is hard to find but full lume model is my next choice.
