New Citizen Tsuyosa Collection

Post by AtomicTom » Fri Jun 17, 2022 8:17 pm

Here is another nice new Citizen, or collection of Citizens
everyone. Have you checked them out already?

It’s the Tsuyosa Collection, which includes four watches so
far. With dial colors in dark green, dark blue, black, as well
as yellow. With just a few other details looking to include
40mm stainless steel cases, integrated bracelets, and the
Calibre 8210 automatic movement powers things.

Some pictures...

I really like the looks....but, as with the Orca, won't do integrated lugs. So a miss for me.

Very nice! I like the blue and yellow. The integrated lugs are not great but I could live with them

I mostly like it, but not enough to go through the trouble of removing the cyclops. I don't even mind the integrated bracelet, since I wouldn't take it off the bracelet anyway.

Man, that crown is tiny. I just got done setting my Squale 50Atmos that I haven’t worn in a while and I remembering why I don’t like buried 4 o’clock crowns.

I’m sure it’s fine for a daily, but as a part of a collection you might skip it due to the fiddly crown.

Not sure how new the collection is. I’ve had this variant for a few months. Fun, cheap way to try an integrated bracelet watch. Confirmed for myself that I can’t stand them.

I've had integrated bracelets and I don't care for them, but for the style of this watch I've never bothered switching to straps from a bracelet and actually liked the look. I've had my Seiko SARB033 for around 5 years now and any time I've tried changing straps I immediately go back to the bracelet. I do think this would look better with normal lugs though.

As usual, I am with you guys on the integrated bracelet. ;)

It’s not that I don’t actually care for the look, or anything, because
it looks nice. However, it would be great if maybe the bracelet looked
similar to this style, but was not integrated right?!

I mean all they would have to do is change the case a bit on each of
the ends, and have the bracelet attach behind. ..Then presto, any
bracelet, or strap could be swapped in.

Oh, and yes, there should always be an option for a cyclopsless
version too.

Overall though, it’s at least fun to see all the summer-like dials.

Have to thank all of you guys for always telling it like it is !!!

Very similar to the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, with the exception of the crown position. The crown on the Citizen does look difficult to use.

Gents inspired integrated bracelet watches are super popular right now, and this one from Citizen looks good and follows that trend.

i have always found if you flip the watch over on its back it is easier to use the recessed crowns. :salute:

I think I prefer the PRX

I’m not a fan of integrated bracelets usually, but the Tissot is an exception

Hey Terry. Yep polished black just like the silver variants of that watch. Polished center and brushed outside

Too small, no to the integrated bracelet, no to the cyclops.
