My pleasure Mike, I love topics like this because it’s just fun seeing whatWario406 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 11:42 amHey Tom - Thanks for joining in.AtomicTom wrote:
What a fun topic Mike ! ..I wear them on the outside today. But like
Roger did, I also used to actually wear my watches on the inside of
my wrist often when I was a kid. However, I remember doing it as
a way of protecting the watch. ..I think it was because earlier on as
a kid we had Swatch guards to protect our watches. ..But all of a
sudden I didn’t on my non Swatch watch, and just thought why not
flip it around, and protect it.
But I think a lot of people did it just because it maybe felt comfortable
to them. ..In fact, I still see it every once in a while. ..As I’m sure you
do too. It’s an interesting phenomenon when you think about it to tell
the truth.
I started this thread yesterday as I was changing the bracelet to an Erica’s on my Marathon. Once changed - I had a rare and unannounced bolt of genius where I began to wonder how the watch would feel on the inside vs the outside of my wrist? Putting it on the inside was super comfy and familiar, like when you were a little kid and put on your sisters bra. It felt wrong but right all at the same time. Once the euphoria subsided, reality kicked back in and I began musing how the face of the watch would now be under constant attack by my desk and that it probably wouldn’t take very long for the bezel and crystal to look like they were beat by a jealous step child with a ball peen hammer creating a look that would draw cruel looks from friends and require more frequent service by the factory or AD.
I honestly don’t think I could/would want to wear any of my nice watches on the inside of my wrist - but, wearing a beater on the inside could work - depending on the chore.

everyone thinks, or has to say. Plus it’s not something we actually will talk
about either which is refreshing. ..But it is something that people do with
wearing their watches on the inside of the wrist. So seeing how we all feel
about it, or if we actually do it is cool imho.
It’s funny because it honestly did seem comfortable wearing a watch like
that, but as I got older I just started wearing them the traditional way.
But it’s neat to see that you tried it out, and then discovered how it is
actually pretty comfy. And what’s interesting, as well as funny too,
is you are saying it would actually be detrimental to the watch’s health.
No wonder my watches used to get beat up when I was a kid.
Here I was thinking I was protecting my watch by going inside with it.
But perhaps I was causing more harm than good.

Out. Inside is goofy unless you're Bruce Willis...
