This just in!

Post by DiverChris » Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:37 am

I ended up trading one of the 40.5 mm 2022 Seiko reissuesfor this. I should’ve known better but 40.5 mm is just way too small for me. This is an almost all original 1976 6105–8110. The only thing I can see that’s been replaced is the Crystal. The crown locks and the bezel clicks very nicely in both directions.

Yeah, why have some kind of reissue, when you can have a vintage treasure
like this Chris?! :excited: ..A SUPER Seiko congratulations on this !!!

Yup, it's tough to replace, or honestly just get the feel of these older watches
when you think about it. ;) 8-) I mean you can have the design, as well as
get the feel with a reissue. But an original is an original, and you can't get a
genuine feel, or recapture the personality of a watch like this without actually
having a watch from that time. Which you now have. :) It has to be a lot of
fun in person because it looks amazing from this side of things. And now you
have the size you want, as well as the actual watch your reissue was paying
homage too. It's a win win !!

Oh, and you know what's great too?! ..A lot of times, brands will try to make a
watch look older by adding accents, or patina. However, this already has this
terrific lived in feel. ..It's beautiful, enjoy !

Nothing like an original 6105.

The modern Willard’s just don’t compare.

Now find a good 6309….

Love it, and that tire tread strap is my favorite for vintage (or modern, for that matter) Seikos.

What I can see of the dash looks "vintage". Might be a 900!
