Mido’s Ocean Star Tribute Gradient

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Aug 11, 2022 8:54 am

I’m thinking you guys maybe already saw Mido’s Ocean Star Tribute
Gradient recently. But just in case, I have a little info here below.

This new watch takes you back to the 1960’s with it’s all around
look. Having details like a 40.5mm stainless steel case, a classic
diver’s bezel, red, and gray gradient dials, Mido Caliber80, and
cool tropic style straps as well.

I like those especially the Red one. I don't have anything Red in the collection.

I do like the red one as well. I just wish they would have left the day/date off. Then IMHO it would be outstanding.

I like the case. Do one without the day/date and overused gradient dial and we’ll have a winner.

It really does look like a terrific red too Gary, very different, yet still
nice, and traditional, or vintage feeling. :) And Alan, and Chris, you
know you are right, the watch would look nice without the day/date. ;)
If they had a second version that really would be neat. ..Maybe just
maybe they will add more variations of this one leaving the day/date
off guys.

In any case, it was great hearing what everyone thought. THX so much
for giving your thoughts !!!

Overall, I like it. I am not a fan of the gradient, and would love to see just a matching red date wheel with black numbers.
