Did we touch on Benrus’s new Sea Lord by chance guys?
The watch will come with either a black dial with black ceramic bezel,
or a green dial with a green ceramic bezel. With the case size coming
in at 39mm. And you will also have stainless steel bracelets, as well
as Soprod P024 automatic powering everything.

Good Lord, Sea Lord? Terrible name, font even worse but overall its a good looking watch. Really like the short, downswept lugs.

I like it; I'd like it even more at 40mm or 41mm.

I think they should stick to vintage reissues.
Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
I agree with others here. 41-44mm case is my sweet spot. I don’t see any compelling reason that would drive a purchase for me - but, none the less it doesn’t suck. What do you think AT? Is this something you’re interested in?

I'm pretty sure I know exactly what word is popping into Jeremy's mind. It could be a British thing

Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
It's purely subjective, I think its a duff name. For some reasons it conjuring images of an aquatic Gandalf....

Mike, sorry for seeing this so late.
It’s not something that I am actually interested in in ‘buying it wise’ sir.
However in ‘just is cool to see a new watch excitement side of things’,
it’s just fun to see. And really, it’s like that with all most all of the
watches out there.
Just seeing what watch companies are doing every day, or have in the
works brings so much enjoyment with the hobby imho. It’s similar to
watching a sports team, or player you like kind of. ..When they win,
you win, or are happy. And when a watch brand like a Benrus has a
new watch like the Sea Lord, we win, or at least it’s fun to see, as
well as talk about.
Whether we are having fun with a name like Sea Lord, or giving our
two cents about the size being classic, or too small, it’s all great.
Can’t thank you, and the guys enough just for joining in on the
conversation !!!
Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
Good looking classic design but way too small for me at 39mm.
Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
I'm glad you liked them sir.
Just for fun, I checked out some of their other watches by the way, and it seems
keeping with the vintage designs, that most models except for the Type II fall just
below 39mm. I guess the Type II seemed pretty large years ago to people.
Thanks so very very much giving your thoughts on these !!!

Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
I like the black on tropic, but even for me 39mm with a short lug to lug would likely feel small.
Re: New Benrus Sea Lord
I read you Jeff. The vintage theme is great, however size wise it kind of
puts a road block up for those who might like the watches.
It’s still cool to have heard what you thought of them though. Thx a bunch !!!
