Help from the team.
Picked up a vintage Scubapro, and for whatever reason, one of the springbar holes is so shallow that the springbar will pop out when put under strain. Anyone know somebody who can drill the lug? Plenty of lug there.
Jack said he can’t.
Appreciate any leads.

Is there a tip from an old spring bar stuck in there?

All tool/sports/field/etc (anything but dress watches) should have drilled lugs IMHO

It looks like it’s a part of the surrounding stainless. I can’t see a seam. I suppose it’s possible, but I’m thinking someone took down some material for some reason (evening out a distortion/damage?). I’ve been on the road but back now. I’ll poke around with a dental pick and see.

Re: Help from the team.
This is actually a common problem when using cheap spring bars. So great suggestion.

In an attempt please YOU , i was taking this picture:
Decided to dig more with the dental tool and lo and behold the blockage WAS a tip and it pushed down in leaving plenty of hole to alleviate the issue.
Teamwork make the dream work. Thanks gents!

The other one is open. But crisis averted...it was a "tip" and I opened it up!

I have a vintage Seiko Double Hurricane with the same problem. Hopefully your solution will work as well.
