First watch for my son

Post by tyd450 » Sat Nov 19, 2022 8:29 am

Hey guys- looking for some advice on a watch to get my 5 year old boy. He has to taken a liking to my g shock square and is really in to telling time these days.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for something like my square but smaller.... Maybe some other Casio of similar styling but kid sized?

I think there's several "Baby G" Casio watches that are smaller....

Great when they get into watches, isn’t it?

What about a classic F91W?

That could work, I would probably need to trim the strap but definitely a good option, thanks!

I think you can put them on a NATO which might help...

I’d suggest going with an analog choice. Had a hell of a time with my kids and digital.

You can find the JDM version on eBay called "g-shock mini", which has some awesome color options. Most are close to $100, though. I bought my son the OG version GXS-900 called "Club-G" as his first G-Shock, and it's a perfect size and a lot cheaper if you can find one.

And apparently there's also a Mini CasiOak in Black (GMAS2100-1A), and White (GMAS2100-7A), etc., that can be modded, lil' baller style.

You are very welcome TD. :) Have fun with the search.

It’s seems like there is so much out there it’s not even funny.
And I am sure he will get a kick out of anything you give him.
