Do you know if that code work for all their watches?

Looks like it’s expired. Thanks anyway! LMK if any one has a fresh code - I like that Wayfarer.

This is an interesting post from WUS:

HI all,

I'm the maker of the Chronoports. I talked to Simon about his model for awhile last week, (Momentum founder/CEO and original designer of the Chronosport SeaQuartz) which was really cool since he's kind of my idol. I'm just a hobbyist that didn't want to spend 1800 bucks on a used Magnum PI watch and I had a bunch of friends in the watch community that wanted one, so I was like what the hell I'll do a MOQ, and sell them to get enough to do another run of something slightly different.

Like others said about the specs, those are the main differences, except some design choices.

Mine is what I would call a true homage, in that I changed some stuff for my own kind of gratification, Simon's is really true to the original. His hour hand is smaller, he uses a sapphire bezel insert which is super sexy, and his day date are in a slightly different place, because of the different movement. If you want something closer to the original, I would go with Simon's, also his pricing is much better mostly just due to scale.

Anywho, I'm probably going to buy one of his on the next batch too, he's like, one of the nicest guys I have ever talked to in the watch community and it was cool for him to think the watch I made in homage to the one he and his brother first sketched on a napkin was also cool. I'm just kind of a dork that likes watches, so that was basically my super bowl and everything I could have asked for when I undertook this project.

Long story short, if you're only going to get one, buy Simon's lol.

I'm kicking myself for not jumping on this. Been on a quartz kick of late and a huge Magnum guy.

Oh well, can't wait to see them here!

The original bezel insert was bakelite but they did an excellent job mimicking that on the new Sea Quartz....

Does anybody know the spring bar tip size?

I’ll be wearing mine on a nato.

Seems the watch comes with quick change straps…

You generally can’t go wrong with .09 tips. 1.2 is Rolex with drilled lugs and Seiko. 1.0 may work, but .09 is safe in most cases. I’ve only seen smaller tips on Oris and Glycine.

Citizen divers are another that use the 1.2mm tips.

The Sea Quartz uses a .9mm.

Also, another pre-order is coming for the watch - "On March 2nd we will be officially announcing the latest pre-order for the Sea Quartz 30 (opening March 7th)."

I don’t believe there is a no date option in the works. The original was day/date so that’s what they went with. I know they have a few ideas for others but I didn’t hear no date.

Where’s the bracelet on the website? Or is only available for those that have taken delivery? I ordered from the second batch, so am still waiting.
