7 watches out, 2 in. Never even tried one of these on. Always liked the looks and the FS posts, but never thought one would work. After 2 seconds on the wrist, I was shocked and sold. Ridiculously light, and wears like a dream.
Hey Rob - how do you like the X33 v the EVO?
The EVO was great, incredibly light/thin, and had nicely curved lugs that helped with it's 43mm size and really helped with it's 51mm+ L2L. Wore great, but wore largish or true to being a 43mm watch. Lume was kind of goofy/asymmetrical in the way they placed it on some indices and not on the numerals like some older versions. It had a lot of functions, but with just one crown to control them, using some functionality was a bit more tedious.
The X-33 is (to me ) incredible. While it's 45mm and under 15mm thick, it's 48mm L2L and feather lightness make it wear great for it's size. No way it feels like a 45mm, more like 43/44mm - very confortable. Looks (subjective) are much cooler, lume is Speedmaster like (fine not exceptional) and bezel, indices, dial, digital displays all look fantastic - and symetrical. Has a running seconds hand, which hits the markers very well. The alarm is crazy loud.
Bracelet is much nicer, though no "push" micro adjustment. Operability thanks to 4 pushers and crown/push/pull button is excellent, once you get used to all the functions and settings. All in all I much prefer it. Costs more, but oozes quality. Probably the most pleasantly surprised I've ever been with a watch.
