Price seems a little nuts, but I guess they figure with the demand for other higher priced Genta designs out there…

They even gave it a waffle-esque dial.

I genuinely love the look, the size, everything Mike, but yeah the price is funny.
What I will do is just ignore it like I always do and let the watch, or rather the
news of the watch put a smile on the face. :)

Thanks so so much for the report !!!

Lovely watches if you’re ISO integrated bracelet watch. But the pricing is dumb. IWC is out of its swim lane.
$14,700 for a titanium version - muahahahahaha

I'd love for the price to be under $10K, but I don't think that the asking price is that out of line.

Adjusting for inflation, the 3227 was nearly $9K and didn't have the same level of Genta DNA as the new watch, which is much closer to the original Ingenieur SL Jumbo from 1976. The new movement also has a 120 hour (= 5 day) power reserve, rather than the 44hr power reserve of the 3227. The new watch also looks much easier to wear - I loved the 3227 but found it thick, clunky and top heavy and never really found it comfortable to wear on the bracelet.

Maybe once the hoopla dies down, a reasonable discount will be possible so that the watch does come in closer to the $10K mark.

You could be right on the price- probably just wishful thinking🫤….

Finally a new nice ingenieur, I was so in until I saw the price. I’ll wait until they’re 40 off on the secondary
