New Breguet Type XX-

Post by jimyritz » Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:40 am

I think some of you have seen these-- Do you think people at Breguet looked at these and said, "wow!, these look great"...

$18K each.....Awful date window in my opinion...

They look terrible. Between the awful date placement and the 3:00 counter eating the 2 and 4, they've ruined a classic.

I have 2 Breguets and I love the brand, but they really screwed these up.

I'm sure that they're very high quality in person, but the design is micro brand level stupid.

Well, to give micro brands some credit, a couple can do a Type 20 without messing it up.

Plus, you have enough left over to buy that motorcycle you know you need.

Does anyone own a Type XX? Or XXI? I would be curious to hear the owner's thoughts (for any model). I always like the vintage ones ans the history...on a positive note (even though I don't care for these) they do seem to have been stuck for some time...

It’s funny I would have liked everything but the price Mike, but you
and the guys have such a great eye for the details, that now that
date window really sticks out. It’s so strange and something that
a lot of other less expensive brands seem to have no issue with.
I mean that Airain really is beautiful that Chris is showing to us. :)

No matter what though, it’s fantastic to see the both of them, so
thanks a lot guys !!!

I know Tom, for such an all-time legendary watch we should only be talking price…you don’t have to be a master watchmaker to know that looks terrible. It just surprises me that it passes the eye of the higher ups at Breguet.

It’s a really terrific point Mike. ;)

You would think someone would have said ‘no’ in just a few seconds
come to think of it sir. It is really strange actually. But incredibly cool
to talk about, and I think Breguet needs to hire you and all the guys. :salute:
