WRUW January 30th 2024

Just back from the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai. Incredible experience and if you are ever in this part of the world, a must see. There are so many preserves for elephants, but this one seems to follow the ethical treatment practices the best…when it comes to visitors.

They were just bring in the first 2024 rescue. She is 87 years old which would make her the oldest rescue in the park. Amazing care and watchfulness over these gentle, intelligent, creates. You experience close ups (without touching, riding or bathing) and walk aside them in an expansive preserve. Just a couple pics and of course watchImage.

New rescue that was coming into the preserve as we were walking around.

Prepared food by staff and volunteers. They offer short and long term stays at the park for volunteers to care for the elephants.

Love this!
We did something similar in Costa Rica a few years ago where we got to help prep the meals for all the critters in the preserve. So cool.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
