Dont Call it a come back
Hey guys, well it's been a long time between drinks and posts.
Hello from sunny Sydney.
I let travel, work and fam get in the way of watches for the last 10 - 12 years just wore the collection only rarely adding to it and selling nothing. Over this time quite a number of my watches fell out of rotation and just sat in the watch boxes unthought of. Well, the orange Certina Super PH changed all that in a way that no watch has done in many years it stirred something deep inside me. (pun intended) It ticked all my boxes a modern reissue of a classic. It started me looking at the current offerings and reconsidering what the collection could look like. So I pulled out the boxes and had a look through all of those no longer getting any wrist time debating if I could be bothered with the work to reorganise the collection or should I just buy the Certina and sit on everything else.
Anyway, so I'm back at least in some form, I have been lurking for a month or 3 looking at how I could reorganise the collection. I thought I would start here on DWC as I still recognise some of the names and I think I have done deals with several over the years. I figured I would list here first, If I'm way out on the please drop me a PM and let me know. I will be doing some research on the sales history but some of these are hard to ascertain.

Re: Dont Call it a come back
Sorry guys wouldn’t be a proper post without a photo. Here is one I don’t think I’ve worn in 3 years, it’s getting a run today to decide if it makes the cut.

Hello Jamie welcome back. No trouble with just wearing a static collection. That's been my mo for several years.

Happy not-a-come-back.
Re: Dont Call it a come back
G'day Jamie. I am a bit the same with not much change to the collection apart from a couple of cheap thrills.
I still lurk around here a bit.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had

good to see you back Jamie........ we've lost too many originals over the last few years. Need to see more "old" faces surface for air...

Good to see/read your back haha. Mine Certina is weeks away, but looking forward to it. I agree, from a re-issue piece, this is one I am excited to see it. Owned a vintage one…this seems to come really close the original…just a tad different with the case, but extremely close. Enjoy yours!!!Ryeguy wrote:You mean this Certina? If yes, the I agree. I actually got a bit of a discount due to the Christmas holiday sales. The transaction was smooth and easy, with the tracking number delivered within 24 hours of my purchase.
If anyone wants the name of the AD, I’ll happily pass it along.
