New Mido Ocean Star GMT Special Edition

Post by DocHollidayDDS » Sun Mar 17, 2024 1:46 pm

Mido is a brand that flies pretty much below the radar here in the US, but this 80th anniversary edition of their Ocean Star GMT is certainly attractive.

Pretty affordable for what it is, at just over $1300 retail.

Looks sharp; nice to see the case come down in size.

Nearly perfect.

I just don’t understand why the 24 hour bezel and the 24 hour scale on the chapter ring. I would much rather have the chapter ring 24 hour scale and a divers timing bezel.

So nice James, and I genuinely can’t find a thing not to like.

It feels vintage, and pays tribute to the past yet looks as sleek,
and sharp as can be. Then the dial, and bezel detail seems to be
exceptional. Matched only by the coolness of the color combo,
and ultra awesome case-back. AND neat strap, and bracelet,
AND name, ‘Ocean Star’. Everything’s great with it. :) ;)

Thanks a ton for the news !!!
