Pelagos FXD GMT
Pelagos FXD GMT
Newly released, I don't hate it, but there are things I don't love. Glad to see they're expanding the line up for sure!

I’m glad they are expanding the line up as well and pretty quickly. That looks pretty cool just wish it had white lume. I hope they work on updating the original Pelagos with bracelet soon.

for some reason, maybe it's the size of the numbers on the 24hr bezel or the lume color, it just feels really busy/clunky to me compared to the other Pelagos variations.

I really like this
I tried on a regular FXD and was surprised at well it wore on my wrist
I like the patina and especially like the orange text and GMT hand and the strap is pretty cool, too.

Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
I love Tudor, but this one is not for me. I guess I'm too much of a purist, I don't like the FXD as a GMT, or with a date. I guess GMTs are all the rage though.
Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
Too busy for me and the lume color is a hard no. Maybe it’ll be better in person, but it could have been so much better.

The colour looks a bit less brash in some other photos I've seen:
If it looks like the above under 'real' lighting conditions, it's great IMO.

Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
Don't hate it, but lume color not for me, and not sure about bezel numeral font/size - feels "busy" - maybe in person.... I'd wear it, but not buy it (w/o beige indices/numerals, maybe).
Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
I think the smart move, assuming they didn’t want the white of the existing FXD, would be to use “regular” C3 color. It’s less polarizing, usually brighter, and definitely more subtle.
Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
"Too busy" is my initial reaction as well. Still a cool release though.
Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
I wish they had put the GMT scale on a chapter ring and kept the dive bezel.

A really nice watch overall but the average buyer of these watches isn't going to be French Navy pilots. The military green strap isn't the most appealing colour,I think it would look nicer on their navy blue strap or plain black. The lume colour isn't very appealing either,I think most of us agree on that. I'm really into the Tudor brand at the moment but that one won't be on my want list.

Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
I agree - I had an FXD for a couple weeks and sold it - just didnt do it for me.
I'd love a pelagos on a bracelet in a different color or two, chronograph version, and gmt version. They've shown they can do it - just slap it in the bracelet pelagos.

It’s kinda funny. A couple months ago I’d have been all over this like, well, me on a bacon sandwich. Now, though, my Longines Zulu Time 39mm fits this role quite nicely. I’m not a big fan of the beige lume and the proportions look a bit off to me.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

The Zulu is a heck of a watch for the money.
I'm not a fan of this Tudor.
Re: Pelagos FXD GMT
honestly, the original 2 line black pelagos is still the best, imnsvho. and if/when i ever get a pelagos, that's what i'll target. it's one of the few watches still on my want list.
anyone wanna trade a 2 liner for a U1T on bracelet?

Ditto - all of this. The strap and lime color are just wrong.snootydog wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 11:20 amA really nice watch overall but the average buyer of these watches isn't going to be French Navy pilots.
