My daughter saw them, Alice Cooper, and Filter. She said it was a great concert.

Re: MUZAK - Whatcha listen'n to???
How “heavy” was the set list?
I have really disliked the last album, and liked 2 songs from 10000 days.
I’m a huge fan of ænima and lateralus, the latest stuff sounds like I’d have to be on acid to appreciate.
Saw them two times back in the mid 2000’s (the 10000 days tour) in Paris.
They are incredible musicians but I did not like
1/ the fans they have in Europe are 50% rock/metal fans and 50% people with purple/rasta hair, piercings in the nostrils and a tormented relationship with soap who came to the concert so smashed that I felt like a straight edge for only drinking 6 beers.
2/ the band played impossibly long “drone” solos, with light and smoke (probably to cater to this second 50%).
I wasn’t as excited looking at 12 minutes of
Weeeeeeeeeeooewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Weeeeeeooooooooowwwwwwwww
Listening to Vicarious, 46&2, parabol etc etc was fantastic though, and ultimately worth the experience. Probably would not do again, Vs stuff like old Slayer or Motörhead or Opeth that I’ve seen 10+ times always with great joy.

So much better. Ok this guy is talented. Read through his Wiki page. Holy crap he's close to my age and has published material like a fountain that was pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain (anyone recognize that reference lol ?). I'm impressed.hoppyjr wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 1:18 pmI’ve watched many videos, but I had not come across that one yet. That’s fantastic. I’ve downloaded every album and I put them on shuffle play at night when I’m going to sleep.
It’s as if he is speaking through his fingers
This dropped yesterday. The solo begins about 7:20 in. It’s lovely.

Here’s the set list. It was a nice mix of old and new. 10,000 days is my favorite album, but I love all their releases.Baffo wrote:How “heavy” was the set list?

Saw them at a music festival on a trip to Iceland back in 2019. Their music is just like their homeland, icy and cool.

Catching up on some bands I have tickets to this season, so here's some music from Morgan Wade, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, and Smashing Pumpkins.
Not sure why I don't see a preview when I post a youtube video.

So cheesy and bad that it's great. Manowar! (Haven't posted linked video lately so this will take many attempts)

Listening to late 80's - early 90's Megadeth this afternoon/ evening. The high school and college jams seem to creep onto the playlist lately. I don't think I've heard some of these in many years, but oddly many I feel like I still know every note.
